  1. The Henderson Pettis fight was good, but nothing compared to their first fight. I rewatched it on Saturday to get excited for that night. Pettis is awesome. Tought to say who can take him out, but there are a ton of great 155-ers. Some of the guys who used to fight at Light weight are dropping to Feather Weight (Edgar and Guida) but that division is tough as well with guys like Mendes and Aldo.

I'm also interested to see what happens in the Middle Weight division with Silva out of the picture. It's wide open at this point. I really want someone to take out GSP as well. He's gotten really boring in his last few fights.

  2. I started going to the gym again with some frequency and have seen gains in strength and endurance but haven't lost much weight. I'm going to TRY not to drink for a couple months and eat cleaner and hopefully the results will come. I've heard from a lot of people that once they cut out alcohol they drop a bunch of weight. SD Beer Week will be my reward.

  3. I'm going to a store called Country Wine and Spirits in Carlsbad tomorrow morning. They show Supplication on their list of available beers, but when I called this morning they said they didn't have any but that they're probably getting a RR delivery tomorrow.

  4. Nice. I just know that they can be hard to come by since they're such a sought after offering from RR. If anybody lives near Clairemont in SD, the liquor store is right next to a taco shop called Don Diego's. I'm in North County, so it was a lucky find.

  5. The lady found a spot that had both RR Consecration and Temptation, so those are on the way. I'm also looking into a spot that claims to have Supplication. Fingers crossed that they do. I'd be willing to trade one of them for a BA SS, VC SS, or Stone Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout.

  6. I picked up my bottles from AleSmith Sunday morning. Really easy, only about 10 people there. They had Regular VSS, Nitro VSS and Cask VSS left from the day before. I really wanted to try the Cherry VSS.

During SD Beer Week they do a SS night at O'Brien's. Tried to go last year but it was packed. I read online that it was suggested to take a muffin tin. I thought it was a joke, but when I got there I saw quite a few people with them. I'm hoping to make it for this event this time around. Went to Ballast Point pepper beer night instead.

Also, I'm pretty bummed that I wasn't able to snag a bottle of Stone's Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout.

  7. Ballast Point beers are crazy expensive. I went to buy a sixer of Sculpin and another of Yellowtail, both in cans, and the total came out to $30 ! Sculpin alone was $16. I put them back and got a 12 pack of Pacificos.

  8. Picked up my growler fills and bottles of Stone wOOtstout yesterday. I highly recommend it if you're into big stouts, Tons of stuff going on with this beer. Probably the biggest beer Stone has made. Definitely not for everyone. Been waiting for Stone to make a Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout, even though it's only partially aged in barrels it still turned out great! Can't wait to see how it tastes in a year or so. Their regular IRS ages very well.

I really want to try the w00tstout. I live down the street from the Oside tasting room, so hopefully I can make it over while they still have it on tap.

  9. Went to Stone, Churchill's, and Mother Earth Saturday afternoon. Churchill's was having a New Belgium Lips of Faith event. Tried a bunch.

I actually made it out to Churchill's for this also. It was later in the afternoon. Of the three I tried, the Paardebloem was probably my favorite. I like Churchill's.
