As soon as his bat speed diminished it was over. It'll be the same for Cespedes but 10x worse. We'd be getting him in the latter portion of his career. If they give him a 5 or 6 year deal it'll be a nightmare. Imagine having to deal with both Pujols and Cespedes in decline.

I believe a previous poster explained it pretty clearly. He strikes out at an incredible rate and he doesnt walk. The Angels have carried around that shitty curse for the last 20 years. The Angels have been in some bad luck with players..look at beltre..David Ortiz..they still produce at the age they're at

The dude hit 8th towards the end for KC..in my opinion he's not worth 20mil plus a year compared to a guy like Cespedes who can win you a game with one swing, with his arm, glove and legs.

i still think the team needs another threat in the lineup. Someone that the pitcher is thinking about when he's on deck. Besides Mike and Albert ( he hit 40 hrs, despite the majority hating on him he's still a threat) there's nobody.

If he is a guaranteed 40 bombs than pay the guy the money. Hamilton would have been worth the money if he put up the same numbers as he did in Texas, Pujols would be worth the money if he put up the same numbers as he did with the Cards. What makes you think Davis is guaranteed 40 bombs? Trout isn't guaranteed 40 bombs.
