    I think Alden Gonzalez was the only one to say that Kobayashi was impressing, which he also said about Barry Enright, who has gotten shelled in games thus far. Not sure I trust Alden's scouting on pitchers.

    I don't know if it's been mentioned here yet, but our minor league pitching REALLY sucks.

    I haven't caught any of the games on TV yet, so I've been telling myself that all our pitchers are just working on their fastballs early on, throwing the same pitch over and over. That is what's happening, riiiight? They couldn't be this bad.

    Weaver and Jepsen scheduled to pitch today. Aside from that, it looks like all minor leaguers on the mound, which is dicey.

    ST must be tough for 'ol Vin with all the minor leaguers.

    i don't know how a ST game could be a "let down". or how team can lack motivation. their motivation is to get their work in and get ready for the real games. if there is any cause for concern - and it's very debatable that there is - it's that our minor league pitching seems pretty atrocious. But, we kind of already knew that. If a week from now, after the regulars have played more, we're still winless, then I will be slightly concerned.

    interestingly, I don't think any Angel has attempted to steal a base yet. Pretty sure MS doesn't want them doing it this early.
