When did Trout steal bases #2 and #3 ? I only remember the one in the blowout.
-
Well they skip the part where they take calls. Okay.
Did they actually advertise that he was going to take calls? I was pretty skeptical of that.

I hope Enright's promotion doesn't mean less of Roth and Carpenter. I liked what I saw from those two hurlers last night.
Roth was fine, but what could you have possibly liked about Carpenter? Carpenter totally killed Roth's ERA too.

Just got home from that embarassment. Food started closing down in the 4th inning and beer was shut off at the end of the fifth! Something went down on the field level in right field. Wonder if that had anything to do with the beer sales. So odd tonight. Couldn't even drink a beer watching that vomit on the field during the rain.
Yeah, I saw this! There were a few Ranger fans removed from their seats by secrutiy. Don't know why, I was in the terrace, they were on the field level. There was much cheering. Then I saw an Angel fan throw a cup of beer from the terrace on to the rampway down below. Then I saw beer and popcorn from the field level get chucked upwards. This was all while Roth was still on the mound in the 4th. I have no idea what specifically went down, but there was definitely beer flying.

I thought Roth looked GREAT through 3, and was battling in the 4th. He still got Moreland out after Murphys ground ball got through. If Trumbo was playing back instead of holding the runner, could have got a double play on murphy. I was shocked Carpenter was brought in at that point. Thought it definitely was going to be Jerome.
.......and Carpenter was just sent down according to Terry.

Howie said in the interveiw with Jose that this was his first walk off. That's crazy considering how long he's been with the team. I guess he was unclutch. Hopefully he remains clutch going forward.

Aybar is so overrated on this board.
-
Roth.
I'd like to see that too. Hoping that's why he only faced one batter tonight.
-
I have yet to witness Pujols deliver on his expectations and pay grade and carry this team for any length of time. He has been a major disappointment for a so-called superstar.
I was surprised that the game winning hit a couple weeks ago was his first walk off as an angel.

I'm stuck with Time Warner and they don't have a deal with the Padres to show games so I don't get any of them unless they play the Dodgers.
So you are considerd in-market for Padres AND Dodgers, but not Angels? That seems bizarre.

Given the above, I wonder why blackout rules are different from FSW/MLBEI to MLB.TV? Anyone know?
They aren't. MLB EI and MLB.TV are subject to the same blackout rules.
If you subscribe to MLB EI outside of an Angel home market, the FSW channel will open up for the game.

2007 Shea Hillenbrand
Ugh. Don't remind us.

Maybe its just me, but I get kind of bored on the local broadcasts, especially with Gubicza predicting a double play every time there's a runner on first or that some player can take the lead "with one swing of the bat". His schtick gets kinda old. Justin Kutcher was definitely not impressive at all with so many careless mistakes, but I prefer national broadcasts to hear a different take. I thought Thom Brennaman and Tom Verducci did a good job a couple weeks ago.

MLB.TV doesn't black out the Angels games EXCEPT where noted on their site. Mainly early weekend games in the East, when FOX or ESPN carries the game...
Or if they are playing the Padres.

Shuck > Hamilton right now.

Yes and he preceded the story with a comment about how the Detroit Players have all been talking about this party they went to last night for Miguel. After he said that I expected him to say something about a car full of women and a horse-trailer showing up at this house in Anaheim. What a let down the next 30 seconds was.
Were you guys even listening? They said it was Joaquin Benoit. Phyz and Hud used to tell similar stories about Vladimir Guererro all the time.

Thanks for my back BaseballMom... tj is probably a Tigers fan so he enjoyed the broadcast.
Nope, and I can't imagine any Tiger fan enjoying any broadcast of a game where they lose 10-0.

It seems strange that they couldn't find a karaoke track for him to use. One of my freinds in New England stated the following:
Apparently Diamond decided -- completely on his own -- to fly across the country from California after they caught the second bomber. He showed up at Fenway at 12:30, and asked to call the switchboard so he could sing in the 8th inning. It wasn't planned -- they had no idea he was coming -- he literally just showed up! (This was according to Joe Castiglione on the Red Sox radio broadcast)
I think that might explain the lack of 'musical preparation' and that he kind of 'winged it' from the original track. Obviously his voice isn't what it was, but wow, that was a hell of a moment and something that will forever endear him to the Red Sox fanbase and Boston community. -
I tend to think he is only there until Aybar is healthy
I will never understand the obsession with leading Aybar off.

Each time a Detriot hitter got into the batter's box the Fox Commentators were spewing their love for each of them and talked immensely about how great they were. Regarding the Angels hitters..."they just got lucky today," and that was pretty much it.
I'll take the 10 to ZIP "luck" all freaking year long...idiots!
So sick of the treatment of East Coast teams vs. West Coast teams when it is a National broadcast. Makes me sick.
Great job Halo boys...keep it up!
Go Halos!!!
You must have been watching a different broadcast than everyone else.
-
Never heard Karros blame luck when the Halos get rocked. EVER.
I don't remember him doing that many Angel games.
-
"I didn't mind Karros today, I thought he was complementary of the Angels."
Karros was good today? He analysis was that every Angels hitter got lucky except Harris fought off pitches, and Trout hit it hard. Then he wouldnt let it go for the next 8 innings. Can't stand the guy, and the east coast dweeb was talking about the beach balls for the whole game. HAHAHAHAHAH FUNNY.
Well, he was pretty much right as far as that first inning goes. There was a lot of luck in that first inning, of course it helps that the Tigers infield defense blows.
However you are incorrect when you state everyone got lucky except Harris. He also said that Kendrick hit it hard and semi-praised Trumbo as well.
Dipoto is on 830 right now
