Doesn't Pujols have some large incentives for reaching various home run milestones? It could be factoring into his decision to keep playing.
He's never going to hit those milestones if he doesn't get healthy.

Surprising, given that Rogers was a college pitcher at UCSB.
Something is going on behind closed doors recently. He isn't as critiquing as he was earlier in the season.
More Arte expecting "towing the company line"?
You should listen to Angel Talk then. Terry & Mark have not been holding back, on Angel Talk, or game broadcasts.

or the 'rex hudler got fired' curse.

Reagins' undoing was the Napoli/Wells action, but he was pretty good otherwise. If Dipoto is the driver behind the above acquisitions, he doesn't deserve the same leeway.
Gary Matthews Jr? Shea Hilenbrand?

Same with Dish. They are supposed to black out games, but have yet to so far.
I think they moved a few games to 13 due to the hockey and basketball playoffs. And the ESPN and Fox games are a few others. I'm still expecting a few to get blacked out.
The big question I'm wondering is, what happens when Fox 1 launches. I'm sure they are going to bundle everything with it. Are they going to move say Nastycar and the Fox baseball games off of Fox and onto Fox 1 similar to how MNF moved to ESPN? And are they going to charge a boatload because of it?
Because I can see the Fox channels being moved to a premium tier if that is the case.
Where have you read that AT&T and Dish are supposed to black out games this year?
Fox Sports 1 is simply a rebranding of SPEED CHANNEL, so the carriage agreements are already in place, at least until the SPEED contracts expire The bulk of live game content for FS1, in addition to the NASCAR stuff that is carrying over from SPEED, will be college football which is moving from FX to FS1, European soccer that is moving from FOX Soccer Channel to FS1 (Fox Soccer channel is going away.), and a new package of college basketball. It will also have some UFC. FS1 will have some MLB next season, but ESPN will still have the bulk of regular season baseball, and FOX will still have the world series and most of the MLB postseason. I don't think FOX will be able to 'charge a boatload' for FS1 unless they attract high profile events like the world series, NBA Finals or a weeknight NFL package. I don't think FS1 is going to make your bill go up any more than the standard increases that seem to happen every year. I don't see Fox Sports 1 moving to a premium tier before ESPN does. ESPN charges like $6 a sub, while ESPN2 is like $0.75. I think FS1 is closer to ESPN2 than ESPN.

Yes uverse still misses 25-30 games. Switch to uverse and you won't have to watch what equates to a month of misery
This is incorrect. Uverse has all the FSW games this year.

Most likely he will be sent down when Bourjos returns tomorrow.
-
It is kind of strange that Aybar had exactly zero rehab games for his hamstring issue, but they are being extra careful with Bourjos.
-
A-38/Reds pick Michael Lorenzen/RHP/CSUF
Thought he wanted to be an everyday outfielder?
-
maybe it wasn't Scioscia's decision. He's not the one who signed him for $15 million. Who knows.
-
Bourjos is going to SLC for his rehab now. I guess maybe Calhoun is going to be called up. They definitely need an OF so Harris can stop playing 1b.
Hopefully Shuck goes to the bench and Calhoun starts.

Over the last 12 games.
Hamilton .200/.273/.425/.698
Pujols .205/.275/.364/.638
There is really no reason to allow then on the field anymore.
There's 30 million reasons.

I thought it was kind of strange that Jerome's agent called into Angel Talk last night to bitch about it.
-
What makes no sense is if they knew they were sending Dane down, why didn't they just use him for the final out?
-
I heard Chris Petit is playing in the Mexican league because they pay more than AAA.
-
For what 3 weeks? So 3 weeks changes all of last season?
No, but Trout is kind of wasted in the lead off spot, he's an RBI guy. It's not like he's going to steal with Pujols and Hamilton hitting. Bourjos made sense in the leadoff spot, Aybar doesn't. I would have put Shuck or Callaspo at leadoff until Bourjos gets back.
-
They were still stinking it up this year when Trout was leading off.

I REALLY hope that Langston doesn't get canned. He tells it like it is.
-
BUT, Will he play Center field or Left field? I know what John Kruk thinks.
-
Most here know I think Petey is pretty damn good. But if the Angels can get a good arm for him, I'm all for trading him.
Except for one thing; who plays in the outfield? You could say Trumbo but then we have no decent DH nor do we have a good backup for Pujols (who clearly needs the rest).
If Calhoun is the answer, that's fine but he is totally unproven. I'm guessing that if Dipoto really believed Calhoun was ready he would have traded Petey over the off-season.
Peter had no value in the offseason because he virtually never played in the second half last year.

i wonder if texas ranger fans constantly post threads about this guy getting away?
The Rangers let Adrian Gonzales get away too!
-
In 09, FINALLY beating Boston, but then actually losing to New York.
-
Also, during the NYY-NYM broadcast on ESPN, they mentioned that we drafted Buster Posey but didn't want to pay him, same as Matt Harvey...and Chris Davis too I believe. Hindsight 20/20, but wow.

Yup, would have avoided some of those big free agent signings too.
