I used to think the Napoli trade was the worst, but how about the Dan Haren trade? Corbin, Skaggs and Saunders for Haren. I think we threw somebody else in too. All 3 of those guys are pitching at the major league level right now. Skaggs got a win yesterday vs TX, Corbin's been on fire, Saunders is certainly no worse than Blanton. You know the worst thing about that trade, the year we made the mid season trade for Haren, didn't even finish above .500.

Heck, at this point, I'd take a middle infield of Segura and Harris over Aybar and Kendrick.

We signed the wrong Joe. Should have picked up Saunders for less $$.

if the angels' tv contract was based on pujols' signing, then the people at fox have no clue what they're doing. i mean it's good for arte moreno if it's true but that's an incredibly strange stipulation. 

It's not like the idea that FSW deal paid for Pujols was conceived by some random internet poster. It was all over the press. I think it was probably a combination of FSW losing the Lakers and signing Pujols. If Arte waited until the Dodgers jumped ship to TWC, he probably would have got even more $$.

You shouldn't have any problems getting the tickets the way they are playing.

I think the Angels are more disappointing just because the NL West seems so much weaker this year. The Dodgers at 7 games back, don't have as much of a hill to climb.

I'm pretty sure Guillen was signed as a free agent. Who would we have traded for him?

I don't know about that, but he called them The "California Angels" right up until his retirement from ESPN.

Sosh deserves at least some credit for the win last night. It seems like he fired up the team as well as himself. He is definitely getting pissed now.

In the post game interview, Trumbo said he wasn't paying attention to that.

The only difference between Mike's managing tonight and other nights is tonight they won. He still pissed everyone off by leaving Vargas in one too many batters. Oh and he still got down to one position player left on the bench in a 9 inning game which is why he couldn't pinch run for Albert. But Mike did get his cardio in.

There's no reason he couldn't have ran Conger for Pujols, he's done it earlier in the season. Especially if Pujols is DHing and not playing 1B.

I was kind of baffled why you take Shuck out of the lineup - he's one of the few that has actually been hitting, but at least that decision caused Bo Porter's craziness and fired up Scioscia.

Can someone explain what happened? I wasn't able to start watching the game until the 8th inning.
