    Ducks. Can't even get to their vacation on time. Cronin tried. He kept Gibson on the ice until a minute and a half left.

    Fowler has never been anything special on defense. He's a guy who's really good at bringing the puck up the ice and at times has been good on offense.Lately, he seems to be getting worse on defense . Maybe, too much time playing with guys that needed help has lead to some bad habits. I don't see him with the Ducks long-term. But, I don't see him going anywhere this year. Our defense is just too inexperienced.

    They looked good tonight. You're right about Carlsson making a difference. Probably become more of a factor as the years go on.

    What is up with Silfverberg the last few games? More importantly, where was this guy for the first 40 something games of the season?

    If we need to retain salary to get a first, we should. Montreal's second might be worth considering (Maybe if they let us upgrade one of our other picks.). What's the point of moving him for less. Well that's based on would we or he be willing to extend. Since nothing has happened to this point, maybe (probably) that's not an option.

    It will be interesting to see if they keep him up long enough to get his 10 games in.

    I don't have a VPN right now. Don't really want to bother getting one to work in the way it would benefit me right now. So, I stopped trying early in the game. I have Bally right now. I'll just ride it out for the season and see what the set-up is for next year.

    Two of our 5 top forwards aren't here. Killorn is also out. Our top d man is out. We'll be better next year.

    This game looks like a win-win to me. We looked really good for a lot of it. Don't pickup the points we don't need.

    How long does it take to realize they need to put a ref off the ice using video to get it a lot closer? I think another big move with that would be to allow one minute penalties to clean up some of the interference that goes uncalled until some ref decides to pull a call out of his arse.

    I would definitely be okay with resigning in the summer if we trade him. I think he's worth 4.5 - 4.7M for 3 years. I would easily take him over Strome. So, even if Verbeek overpaid a little, I'd be good.

    Yeah, Verbeek is hard on the size factor, but not exclusionary. He signed Vatrano and he still has Zellweger. I think he would be okay with a 5'11" Celebrini if he played tough for his size (like Vatrano). I don't see a Verbeek team with more than maybe one d guy and maybe 1 or 2 (max) forwards. The forwards would have to be wingers unless by some freak occurrence a bottom 6 center worked out. Just the vibe I get from what I've seen and know of the guy.
