  1. Madison is a stud. His road playoff career ERA is about .068 last I saw. This covers over 50 innings. And he's just getting better. When he got out of the third inning in game one without giving up a run, his team mates knew this one was in the bag. He has been lights out since he was a rookie in 2010 playoffs. I think his numbers would be better thangreinkes and equal to Kershaw if he pitched in dodger stadium.

  2. lol it's the redux in general not just 2004. And I am not against building your team through trades and free agency. I just thought the whole thing dripped of hippocracy based on past statements by Boston and their people. Somehow their title was more pure than those that came before. Plus the media fauning over them made me sick. Did I mention that Ortiz is a cheater?

  3. Exactly my point mark. They built their WS team the same way the Yankees did. But somehow the Yankees are evil and they are not. The next two titles had a bunch of home grown players. Just pointing out the redfux hippocracy.

  4. I chatted with Don Baylor at the Fanfest Sunday BP and Q&A with Tim Mead. He was thrilled to be back with the Angels. I mentioned that it had been a long time since he was in an Angels uniform. And he said " too long". Gave me the impression that this is exactly where he wants to be. If he were to step down it would be to stop working I think.

  5. Nobody outside of Boston gave a damn about the redsox until the interweb and 24/7 sports news cycle made Yankee hating a second job. Remember redsox ownership calling the Yankees the "evil empire"? That was because they could just buy all the best players. If you go back and look at the Yankee teams that had this latest run of World Series appearances half the team was home grown and most of the players were cast off free agents. 1998 forward is the timeframe I mean. Really there was a bidding war for Brossious? Tino Martinez? Paul Oneil? Knob lock? Charlie Hayes? Luis Sojo? Chili Davis? Strawberry? They didn't simply buy the best players they bought players they thought would fit and win.

Now look at the 04 redfux team. Not one of their starting pitchers or starting position players came up through their system. Kevin youkilus is only farm hand that got any playing time and it wasn't much. This team had steroid users and bought players. They were exactly who they claimed the Yankees were but somehow get a pass from everyone. That's one reason I personally can't stand them.

  6. Yes AJ but I don't hate the Angels. Lol. Of course there are some beloved Angels that used. Glaus nd I think fullmer from the 02 team were linked. Damn I think it was fullmer, anyway one of our most beloved players was guilty. Wally Joyner used. I am pretty sure it was after he left the team but he did admit it. Plus none of our players are coddle and fawned over by MLB and the media like Ortiz is. He is a fraud a cheat and gets a pass because having a former senate whip on your board gives you the appearance of legitimacy.

  7. Ive always wondered if any of these guys are able to loophole it by claiming low T and getting ober the counter test. It isnt the same as anabolocs, but it would still have some benefits

Half that WS Ranger team seemed to have a medical waivers for using Adderall or testosterone.
  8. In 2013?

Doesn't that indict Major League Baseball and it's testing program? I thought these guys were tested regularly? It is an indictment of MLB and the testing. Why Ortiz gets a pass and ARod doesn't is beyond me. Just think back in recent memory and I am sure if you have watched any Redfux games you have seen Ortiz get irate when he doesn't like a ball/strike call. He destroys property in a visiting ball park and there is never any penalty. I recall him getting run from a game when he was barking at the HP umpire but it was in the ninth inning of a game that tux were losing badly. He simply is not held to the same standard as everyone else. The rage he shows at times is not normal. The truth will come out when he can no longer be of service to the redfux. Just like Manny.

  9. Battle tested is the key. This is a team that went 18 innings against the best team in the NL on the road and won. I think the Giants will win in 5 or 6 games and they will all be very well played. But in the nd we will know the Giants were obviously better. Just a hunch. The Royals very easily could have lost 7 of the 8 games they have played so far. If the Royals offense had been hitting against the royals defense in the Orioles series, they would have been shut out twice. Lol. I am not calling them lucky because they have definitely outplayed their opponents in each round. But the law of averages does tend to even things out. Giants won't lose their cool and will stay loose.

  10. Ortiz was toast 3-4 years ago. And he suddenly found the fountain of youth? No he found something that can't be detected. If it were legal he would be talking about it. Remember he couldn't hit much at all when he was with Seattle and Minnesota. But he hooks up with Manny and Segui and all of a sudden he finds his swing? I am fairly sure that if a member of the Yankees Board had conducted the investigation, (Mitchell Report), instead of Redfux board, Ortiz, manny and others would have been all over that report. Instead there was one insignia ant redfux player who's name I can't recall. Mitchell was extremely partisan as a senator and even worse as an invested member of the redfux board. And remember all of the PED stuff with Manny was made public after he left Boston. The truth about Ortiz will come out eventually.
