Agree, perhaps the best young defensive shortstop with pop . I can recall in last 40 years. A catcher who shows strong leadership. Young pitchers. We have a ton of cap space and time to build it . Imanaga is really interesting, the clock is actually ticking, stove should start to cook. We have a hole at third, His name is Rendon , he will not stay healthy playing everyday move him to dh, and corner infield backup. We do need his stick. this was in response to Stradling who mentioned signing Snell and Montgomery, gives us excess lefty starters. Also to get a young third baseman I’m not sure if that’s an overpay.

How about a young third basemen. maybe Sandoval and Rengifo.

5 or 6 gold gloves at third. Big fan of defense at third , it’s a right handed hitter pull hitter league. Never really a fan of his but lock down d so hard to come by. Don’t think we have this in minors. Not that he is on same level offensively but the last 3rd baseman we passed on Beltre still haunts some of us.

Agree with this . Any money spent on high risk needs to be pitching ! You can get old guys Turner or Martinez for example to produce runs. their track records are stable also way less financial burden if they don’t produce. I know Snell is risky, so what all ball players are risky. 2 Cy young’s 6 inning pitcher, almost all are now. I’ll take him and more bullpen help.

This lineup healthy of course has the same pop as last year just at different positions. Trout healthy, O’Hoppe, Ward back at full strength, Even first base Schanuel will improve. I’ve always heard learn how to hit and power will come. Guy can hit. The opportunity to play small ball with this group will generate runs. I believe we have been the worst situational hitting team in the league for some time now. I believe with Ron Washington at the helm this will change. We happen to have a guy named Rendon that arguably is one of the best in these situations. Again if healthy. I know I’m a homer but I really value great coaching and leadership. I miss small ball.

This,This,This. I think this is underestimated, I would hold on to our young pitchers till after this season. Then judge on a fair baseline .

Pitching and health. Throw in some Ron Washington and I think that will be our off season.

Rendon DH. Let he can hit and back up first and third. He won’t make a full season at third.

Our defense has been a joke the last several years particularly third base. Chapman and build the bullpen. Grab Waca or similar solid three. 2002 team won with this philosophy.

I want to believe this , I’m sure team realizes how many Japanese fans support the Angels. would be a great way to keep them on board.
