Dennis Packer took over as the Angels public address for 18 years, the Dodgers for five years, the Clippers for 10, the Kings for 11 and the Raiders for 13 — the entire time the team was in Los Angeles.
Hi Dennis, I'd love to get you on our podcast or at the very least have either myself, @Tank or @Dave Saltzer interview you for a written article much like with Courtney's above.
I believe you were the PA Announcer for the LA Kings too if I'm not mistaken.
Let me know.
I don't know what's in his head. People deal with pressure differently. Time will tell.
One thing is for sure, I'd like to see him start squaring up the ball more mixed in with his walks.
He wasn't. But to be fair he wasn't for the Red Sox pitchers either.
Canning's and Soriano's pitches were in most hitters wheelhouses. Their command was way off but I think it was the cold weather.
The difference between Crawford and Canning is Crawford hides the ball longer before it's released out of his hand so it takes longer for the hitter to pick the ball up. Which is why the Angels were swing and missing on so many pitches the first four innings of the game.
Only player that was locked in was O'Hoppe who was robbed of a hit up the middle by Story early on.
Good morning Angels fans. How are you feeling after the home opener?
Takeaways: The red carpet production was amazing Jered Weaver's first pitch Crowd was electric - playoff atmosphere Logan O'Hoppe's game tying grand slam Team showed some fight in them in the comeback.
