That would be great if Trout could stay healthy. Do the Angels need to start treating him like a old man?  Pujols came back after his foot injury to play in over 150 games 4 consecutive years after age 33. Hoping for 140 for Trout might be realistic. Do we remember when Trout could steal bases with the best of them? Trout has only stolen 17 bases in his last 424 games. and that is over his last 5 seasons. Maybe he has a comeback to his career but it is getting late as evidenced by his inability to run like the wind.

Timing is everything with trades and the time to trade Trout was a long time ago. Many people are saying that Trout will never play in 120 games in a season again.

Griffey finished with 630 homeruns, 1836 rbis, 2781 hits. Trout will never attain those now. I would wager maybe he gets 2500 hits, and 500 homeruns. with 940 rbis he will be lucky to hit 1500. So you should hop that Trout is just another Ken Griffey JR.

Could it be that Trout is the primary problem with this team? I mean the team has many problems but everything revolves around Trout and his paychecks.

Was he not on pace to whiff 200 times? You do understand what a whiff does to a inning don't you? Been around baseball long?

Trout was on pace for near 200 strikeouts this season before his injury. His injury might be the thing that gets the team into the playoffs. There, that is some positive spin.

Even Albert couldn't help the Angels. I mean seriously how does an organization let a guy like Cole Calhoun hit ahead of Pujols ? The guy has more career strikeouts than hits. Batting Pujols 5th was the start of some thinking he might have been through and the hitting only left handed pitching was another terrible idea. If anything the Angels robbed him of his ability to help the team with  dumb management and roster built be amateurs. The organization has been stinking for decades. You got two players that have all the talent in the world in Shoei and Trout and they have played a total of 3 playoff games.  Heck my favorite playoff moment last remembered was back in 1995 when the Angels lost a one playoff game to the Mariners. Yeah it was  a loss but it was close. So congrats in Albert and I hope to see him play in another World Series.  Heck maybe we get to see him climb the all time post season homerun homerun list. He has 19 prior to this post season. 

Boy Trout sure looks smaller than he did last year and years past. His head, shoulders, and trunk all seem to be normal sized now. He looks really fit but 45 homeruns? I'm guessing 27 if he plays a full season.
