Well that will get us a couple of hot dogs, nachos, peanuts, and beet

I agree there has to be a limit for Cole he can do the same thing thing with 200 million that he can do with 300 million dollars. Go ahead and get a couple of other pitchers for less and then try and go after Rendon and sign or trade for your catcher. I don’t want to be money strapped for years like we have had to do for years now.

It's like you can see an arm shoved up him making his mouth move. Heyman was always Boras' media tool before. It's ridiculous.
The Boras camp is just laying it on thick right now, trying to get the Angels to up the offer. Financially speaking, the Yankees signing Cole would put them at least 40 million over the luxury tax alone, with this being their 2nd year over it, which means that team is about to be taxed 40%.
Meaning for Gerrit Cole alone, he is going to cost them 50 million just this year. They don't have enough salary coming off the books the next two years to decrease payroll much at all, and will be needing to re-up Paxton, which you know it's going to cost 20 million a year, which raises their payroll. And after next year, that penalty jumps up to 50%.
Meaning even if they signed ZERO free agents (Lemahiue sp? is also in need of a new contract as well), the Yankees would likely be taxed 17 million alone on that overage that Cole will cost. If he costs them 34 million a year, that makes him a 50 million dollar a year investment.
In fact, they wouldn't have the necessary money coming off the books to drop under the luxury tax again, even if they signed no free agents and only extended Paxton, until the year 2023.
If the Yankees want Gerrit Cole bad enough that they're willing to make him at minimum a 50 million a year investment, and swear off free agents altogether for a minimum of three years, then they can have Cole. Really. But you know that wouldn't happen. New York is the most aggressive organization in baseball when it comes to free agency, meaning they very well could be paying 60 million a year in overages for the foreseeable future.
I do not envision Gerrit Cole being a New York Yankee unless that team abandons any semblance of financial responsibility. Boras/Heyman can report it all they want.
So what ass that jackass Andy Pettitte going to say that they won the championship about a million years ago, and how many times they have lost in the Playoffs, how many times the Angels kicked their ass and the only team with a winning record against them, that they are drug users, he is an idiot for being there.

Yes that is funny what have the Yankees won? They have not won anything for a long time.
They are a bunch of fucken idiots who think they just won it. I hope they keep losing. -
If Eppler doesn’t get Cole and another great starter he will be counting the days until he is let go by the Angels
-
And the Philadelphia still going to suck and go no where just like last year all the hype the got and where did it get them a ticket home
-
White Sox need to over pay to get players to go there and even then I wouldn’t want to go there.
-
Well that is good let the stupid Yanks pay 300 or more million on Cole. I don’t care how good he is the only one worth that much is Trout. Also the pitcher only pitches like 25 games or so not worth that kind of money as to someone who plays about 140 to 160 games. Let the Yanks get Cole and get stuck with the big contract when they were crying they didn’t want anymore big contracts but we know they are full of shit.
-
Well I’m not sure about Cole as if he really wants to be here why not just sign instead of dragging it out and talking to other teams. He should just hurry and sign so the Angels can move to the plan they have. I hope he sign soon.

Sherman thinks we should fix Boston by taking all their bad contracts so we can suck like them.
We are not the Dodgers, Red Sox need to talk to them

Ken Rosenthal doesn't even know where his mom is going, just blowing crap out of his mouth. It is everyone's guess trying to predict where a player is going to sign, but only the player knows where he wants to sign.

Ok let me back track. I think I misspoke because I just reread it. In order to sign Gerrit Cole RIGHT NOW, it would require paying him more than they're paying Trout and that's just not a direction the team is willing to go.
So maybe the Angels will be the high bidder, but right now they aren't going to meet the skiing price.
That is stupid to pay any pitcher more then what Trout gets. A pitcher is in only about 30 games or so compare to Trout about 140 or so games, so no way would the Angels do that.
-
Well there is always a stupid team that is going to just throw money to get a player. It looks like Chicago White Sox is the team this year.

He won’t do crap, probably have the Astros take him to Del Taco for a Macho combination Burrito combo and to Starbucks for a drink.

That he Duquette is an idiot

I wouldn't care with either option, but no to Maldonado. I want a catcher that can hit and provide some offense.

Assmus is to stupid to get it. Also in the off season we really need a catcher that can hit.

Eppler doesn't get a free pass this year? He gets so many passes elsewhere so why not give him one for the manager he hired?
They need to get rid of the Manager who is just a stupid Manager to pitchers out then they should keep pitching. If he stays next season will be the same, can you imagine if the Angels get Cole and he comes out to take him out of the game in the 5th or 6th inning, the melt down that Cole would have. I just hope they get rid of him. I also hope the Angels get some Relievers because the ones they have now won’t cut it. How many games have we lost because of them??

Well the good news is season almost over, and closer to the #1 pick

Maybe the Angels will bring him back after a year away. Like the Lakers did with Phil Jackson. If the team makes the needed signings this offseason and is healthier and better next season, is there anyone who wants to see Ausmus at the helm?
Hell no

So what's the bad news?
Next season will most likely be the same. The same shit manager, the best player in baseball with some slumps can’t be perfect, we still have Albert and also the same as a few years now same crap pitching because Moreno doesn’t want to open up his wallet and spend money, so they will find some cheap peanuts.
Gerrit Cole signs with the Yankees (9 years, $324 million)

He fucken didn’t want to come here or he would not have taken so long to sign for him to decide who he wanted to play with. They used the Angels to get the Yankees to over pay. Last year it was the stupid Phillies, this year the stupid Yankees. I do know one thing there is no guarantee in life and anything can happen to the Yankee players and end up on the disable list, Cole could have a bad injury. I rather the Angels try and get Rendon who will play at least 150 games or so if everything goes well and helps the Angels win more games then Cole who only pitches about 30 games or so. They dodged a bad contract and can now sign other players and trade for a pitcher as well. If the Appler doesn’t get Rendon and any pitchers that are left and worth signing will be kissing his job goodbye. Moreno has talked crap about going all in and lied. I just Hope thing work out from here on out, as I don’t want to see the Angels get anymore stupid peanuts and almost last place.
