I could listen to both these guys call baseball games all day. Really pumped for this!

If the dude learned from Lackey, why not hire Lackey?

Would you all have hated Trout if he opted out? Fletcher?
One could argue that Trouts wife just had a baby. I don't think anyone would have questioned it had he opted out. Simmons just flat out quit on the team, even scouts from other teams called that.

For the record, Bauer can sign without them going over the luxury tax. If they were at 164 real payroll before the Quintana signing, then they’d be at 172 post Quintana. Luxury tax payroll is about $5M less for salaried guys plus $18 in benefits and minor league salaries so call it 185. That gives them $25 before tax.
If he took a $25 AAV they might be able to squeeze in, but more likely they go over.
In terms of AAV payroll Pujols money goes away but so does 35 M in other starting salaries and so Minasian will be forced to pay at least 3 starters again and deal with Raises for, Fletcher, and Ohtani. So they may pay in 2022 as well.
They need Bauer but can they afford him?
Problem with that is, Ohtani hasn't had his Arb hearing yet. That 25 mil cushion would then go down wouldn't it? I'm guessing Angels and Artie eats the tax for a year.

If we're keeping one and trading another, since they're both still "green", I'd prefer keeping Marsh over Adell. Simply because we lack left handed power. Do I think Marsh has the tools Adell has? No, doesn't mean he won't be a solid player. Besides if the OP is alluding to trading the other for pitching, we'd still get more for Adell them Marsh right now.

Off the top of my head, Simba, Goodwin, La Stella and Bundy.

We've been pretty spoiled over the years when it came to radio/TV play by play guys, with the exception of Rex Hudler. I'm really gonna miss Victor, I thought he was one of the best we've had. On the flip side I'd assume Terry Smith will slide to TV, but damn, I can't get over the teeth.

I got dish
they dropped FSN in la a year ago
That was the main reason I dropped Dish and went with Spectrum. I noticed losing quite a few channels over our last year with them, but FSW was the last straw.

I hope the internet is better in Costa Rica than it is in Guatemala.
They've finally gotten up over 100MB download speeds which is Encouraging and with fiber optics finally there I think it will go faster. Central Valley where we're looking to move is getting better. Some beach areas are still around 5 MB.

You'll need a VPN to use Hulu outside the US. Not sure about the others
Ya we already have that part ready to go lol. It's just getting there and getting settled.

Moving to Costa Rica hopefully in October so this is good info. Trying to decide between Roku, Hulu or youtube TV to go with whatever we get there. Thanks for the info!

Man i could stare at that all morning.

I'm going with July. The Angels will try to keep him in the minors as long as possible this year, but hopefully Jo forces their hand by tearing it up in AAA.

I think if the Mets fail to be the playoff team "everyone" thinks they should be, Thor could be had. Same can be said with Cleveland and Clevinger.

Is May when he starts pitching out of the rotation or when he begins his delayed spring training?
He's supposed to start the season as DH and hopefully be ready for the rotation by mid May.

At least he pulled out early.

I'll say this, whatever else happens between now and Spring Training, and it looks like something should with the outfield depth we have, I'm really looking forward to seeing Joc's brother Champ around this team. That kid is freakin cool.

I think the NTC goes into effect after the 2021 opt out, or at least thats what I heard on MLB network on Sirius. But hell, who gives an opt out after 2 years?

Sorry I know I'm in the minority here but I agree with them 100%. You have no guarantee that Adell will amount to anything but you know what you're getting in Clevinger.

If the deal is there you take it. Marsh or Adell may be the second coming of a Mike Trout, or they could be Dallas McPherson 2.0. At this point nobody really knows how they'll pan out. If the angels could package Marsh for Clevinger I'd do it in a heart beat. ger

We could bring Sutton out of the booth if we got desperate.
