  1. Scoreboard watching on May 3 is fine by me... much better than all the doomsday overreactions in April
  2. I don't blame Rendon for that groundout... he had to swing at that pitch that was wayyyy outside, because it was in exactly the same location that was just called a strike. ROBO UMPS NOW!
  3. I've been worried about Neto getting hurt by one of his many HBP... but never expected it to happen because of shitty technique on a bunt attempt PUT SOME 'TUSSIN ON IT
  4. I honestly don't think it will be the Yankees' (or any other team's) "bucks" that will lure him away. It will be that team's success / roster / playoff pedigree that he'll want to join. Nothing I've ever read / seen re: Sho (which is a lot) makes me think he is driven by money, or a need to be recognized as the highest-paid. He wants to: A) win championship(s), B) Set a new standard as the greatest baseball player ever, and C) continue to both pitch and hit He'll sign with whatever team that, in his mind, gives him the best chance to accomplish A, B & C. The money, media market, history/tradition... those factors are far less important to him than A,B,C. I really hope that's the Angels, and I think if we make the playoffs this year, I like our chances. But if I'm worried about another team, I'm more worried about the Dodgers than the Yankees.
  5. Halos took care of business from the jump today, love to see it. Now let’s hope the Lake Show can follow suit…. LIGHT THAT BABY UP!
  6. Why? well, in their words: "to connect God’s wealth with God’s workers, so we can write the last checks needed to solve the world’s greatest problems and spread the hope of the gospel to all." https://thesignatry.com/who-we-are/mission-vision-explained/
  7. seems that we're gonna be seeing them on a lot more backstops (and everywhere else) for the next couple years. The Signatry plans to spend a billion dollars on this ad campaign over 3 years, and we're only a year in agreed, and I'll say the same for O'Hoppe (assuming he fully recovers from labrum surgery)
  8. Angels backstop advertisements are for Japan's #1 cat treats. Cardinals backstop advertisements are for Jesus.
  9. who is this team? Putting runners in scoring position and then getting them home? I thought I was watching the Angels
  10. I feel like his D has been really good too... except for that one awful game where he had 2 throwing errors
  11. my samurai baseball tshirt just showed up! I'm gonna be rockin' this one a lot this summer...
  12. holy shit. can't believe he snared that. helluva catch, but fuck it would have been nice to be up 3-1 if that had bounced off the wall
  13. TONY took TWO BAGS and it put him in position to tie this game up. Love to see it. Saved the game yesterday and showing off his old man wheels again today
  14. nice! That was one of the most memorable games I've ever seen in person at the Big A. And to do it against the Yankees made it that much sweeter
  15. wait... they are saying that before yesterday, the franchise record for RBI in a 4 game series was 10 RBI? I was at a game when Garret Anderson had 10 RBI against the yanks in one game!
  16. Anyone know if Matt V is at the game or calling it from NJ as usual?
  17. Good win. 3 in a row and 5-2 against 2 crappy teams at home, which is what they needed to do. And both L's were crazy games with lots of homers and were very winnable... Unfortunately the one game I attended this homestand was one of those L's The halo will shine brightly tonight!
