  1. He never had possession of the ball but his left foot blocked the front path of the plate. “The catcher may not block the pathway of a runner attempting to score unless he has possession of the ball. ... Runners are not required to slide, and catchers in possession of the ball are allowed to block the plate.”
  2. Lucroy was blocking his path to the plate without the ball.
  3. It was a quick play but Lucroy’s left foot was temporarily in foul territory without possession of the ball. He adjusted to the right but it was too late.
  4. Marisnick would have to be an acrobat. Remember that Lucroy never has possession of the ball so therefore is also in violation.
  5. Isn't home plate technically located inside the line.
  6. Lucroy never caught the ball so the Angels caught a break on that play.
  7. He would've been safe because Lucroy never caught the ball. The ball comes out of his mitt before any contact.
  8. That was a pretty bad pickoff but I was being sarcastic. He’s going to be a big league star player. That’s obvious.
  9. Lost is the fact that Lucroy never cleanly catches the ball. The ball is coming out of his mitt before any contact is made (watch the replay in slow motion) so therefore Marisnick getting called out for his aggressive approach actually bails Lucroy out.
  10. Adell is definitely an Angels base runner.
  11. We are now trailing the Astros by 12.5 games so what happened this week has little to do with that.
  12. You know you’ll be watching USA vs Mexico. Pacifico or Modelo?
  13. Makeup call for the missed catchers interference on Reddick.
  14. And nobody mentions the great throw that Calhoun made. Perfect throw.
  15. Upton has the tendency to be very aloof in left field. He’s never played any infield position in the majors. He’s not going to play 1B.
