Even putting stats aside, how are Aybar and Howie not winning players? Let's start with Aybar. The guy has been a spark plug and brings energy to the club everyday. Without him, there is not a single player on this team except Trout that brings his kind of energy everyday. Then Howie. He has shown he is a team player. He has played 1st base when he first got called up and played left field when asked. I don't remember ever hearing him complain. Not many players would be willing to fill in other positions if they are already anchored somewhere. Both these guys are winning players

They suck. Let's trade them then sign Cano and whoever the best shortstop available next year for way more money then they deserve. Aybar and Kendrick are the least of our worries.

Just blew a 3 run lead against the Jays, giving up a walk off double to Munenori Kawasaki, a guy that hit sub .200 last year. Just goes to show how much of a toss up relievers are. There are two guys in the game today that i would call automatic: Mariano and Kimbrel.

1. With Trout at leadoff, teams will not be able to walk Trout like they walk Albert due to the threat of a stolen base 2. With Trout on base, he should be stealing a lot on all the offspeed stuff Hamilton gets 3. We have yet to see it, but supposedly Hamilton can hit. If Trout returns to being a weapon on the bases, pitchers will rush their deliveries and maybe hang a breaking ball to Hamilton (hopefully he is able to hit that much) 4. Break up the righties 1. 100 percent agree. At least about the Hamilton as a luxury. I agree that his money should be spent elsewhere/ saved for a certain OF's extension. However, this bullpen is in shambles right now due to injury. Once Madaon, Jepsen, and Richards are returned to the pen, we will be fine. It is the rotation that needs to be worried about and even that should be middle of the pack or slightly below league average. This team will be fine

Is it good to have a guy that keeps everyone else's spirits up? Yes. But these are grown men who have reached their current position through lives of self motivation. Is a leader a plus? Yes, but do i buy into it meaning anything signifcant? No. We have our leader and motivator in Weaver. IMO, thats all we need
