  1. Personally, I wouldn't bother batting him on pitching days, that's another burden placed on him when we need him dialed into his pitching. I'd much rather see him bat before and/or after his pitching days though; something they should definitely explore first. As for Trout sitting, I know it won't happen often but they should only do this on days where Ohtani is in the batting lineup.
  2. That's pretty cool, I didn't realize that was an option to sacrifice the DH and let him bat for himself. Oh.....and please never sit Trout again when Ohtani pitches, Kthxbye.
  3. Noticed that the ump started to go against us after the Scioscia incident. Pathetic.
  4. Thanks Scioscia. Takes Ohtani out with only 1 man on, who knew it was going to end up like this?
  5. I thought the premise of putting him in the field would be for him to be able to play an entire game at a National League park. This would obviously be beneficial during inter-league games and possible World Series if situation arise. This is why I'm suggesting to throw him in at the safest and easiest position for these situations.
  6. If you guys are worried about injuries, how about 1st base? Isn't this the easiest and safest position to play? You barely have to move, just need to field ground balls and catch, Ohtani has a long frame and would be a bigger target as well
  7. Only problem with this is that you can't just thrust him in there once in a blue moon and expect him to be diligent or competent in that position. He would need lots of practice and reps in the field as well. This is not your local rec softball league
  8. Why can't pitchers that leave the game come back later? It'd be cool if we could sit Ohtani out the 2nd and the 7th inning of games
  9. How about Ohtani plays RF, Marte 1B, Pujols DH I know this won't happen but I'd give it a go!
  10. If you're Scioscia, how would you have the lineup on most days? Here is mine: 1. Simmons 2. Kinsler 3. Trout 4. Upton 5. Pujols 6. Ohtani 7. Cozart 8. Calhoun 9. Maldonado Out of respect, I have Pujols ahead of Ohtani but this can change by mid-season if Ohtani's numbers are significantly better.
