    Sure. It's been like a week. I'm not going to get too excited yet, given the previous 450 major league ABs and his mediocre minor league numbers since he was drafted.

    He did, but not THIS slowly. His OPS was over .700 by late April last year. It's at .450 right now. Ugh.

    Yep. They're succeeding on 69% of their stolen base attempts--and only 63% for non-Rengifo players. League average is 77%. Running like crazy when you're not actually very successful at it ultimately ends up costing you runs.

    I agree, though I will say in a case like this, the new rule is almost laughable, given that the ball beat Thaiss to the plate by about 30 feet. Ha ha.

    I like being aggressive on the bases, but I think the Angels have been taking it to an extreme this year in terms of sending runners AND on stolen base attempts.

    Velocity was fine. 94.3 average, which is up a bit from his average this year.

    He did? Which batter? I just checked Gameday Live on MLB.com and none of the ball calls look egregious.

    The lesser Naylor brother just hit a grand slam against Detmers. Ugh. Reid just hasn't looked entirely comfortable out there today.
