Its crazy to me in the day of video analyzing, that Trout sand Baylor have to watch his at bats and see that 70-80% of the time the pitcher throws a get me over fastball at the knees and dead middle because they know he almost never swings. I mean what the hell.
I'm watching consistently this year and I don't think in all my nearly 40 years as an Angels fan ever seeing anything this dismal for this long of a stretch. Could be selective memory though.
Some of you on here can't possibly be real Angels fans on here. Constantly talking shit about players and making assumptions and judgements that make no sense at all.
So depressing right now. I see our hitters watch pitches right down the middle, either fastballs or offspeed, and then take terrible swings on pitchers pitches out of the zone. Plate approach is as bad as it gets right now.
6 back by Monday? You realize the Red Sox are here for the weekend? In fact, 3 against the Sox, 2 against Philly and 3 against Texas looks pretty positive.
Its crazy to me how we go pick up another reliever in Pestano while the Dodgers get a starter in Hernandez. Not high on Hernandez but we badly need SP.
My point is that it was a gamble to add a top pitcher while giving up a critical part of your batting order. Could go either way, but I see it hurting the A's down the road.
I totally agree about the comment on the A's lineup without Cespedes. Guys like Moss are expected to be the 4 hitter in that lineup and it's not happening. Cespedes gave them swagger. When that trade went down I was surprised more analysts weren't saying the loss of Cespedes would be difficult on that lineup.
