  1. Exactly! Its a very long season and every fan forgets that when there is a rough stretch. Regardless how bad they played on the road trip we were still leading the wildcard. I may be a bit biased but this is a playoff team. The pitching isn't great but they have shown hot streaks with Richards, Skaggs and Wilson. You go on a hot stretch in September and you're in the playoffs. Remember when Trout was "struggling"? Everyone has forgotten that. Hamilton looks like what we paid him for and if all the other pieces keep clicking this is a playoff TEAM, thats what the offense does well. Keep it close, win it late. And so far that what our Halos are doing. Just 100 more games to go.
  2. Absolutely amazing! First time since Game 6 of the 2002 World Series that the angels were down 5 after the 7th and came back to win. It's a game like this you look back on in September as a turn around for the team. I'm still pumped!
  3. Guys he's 6'4 240 lbs not 140 lbs... He's big
  4. I was heated when I saw Beede drafted at 14 to the Giants, with that being said Hoffman was my number 2 for the angels if he dropped and Newcomb was my number 3. With this being the first draft in 3 years the Angels have had a first round pick I've followed it closely. He could be the first or the second to the big leagues after Rodon. Beede may have more upside, but Newcomb could help in the bullpen in September. Down the road his comps are all Jon Lester. I think any of us would take a big lefty like Jon Lester in the rotation.
  5. Is it too much to ask for a repeat of the 2009 draft? Haha
  6. I would love to see them draft Beede at 15, I know Hoffman is a risk but I like that pick too
  7. And that right there is why Cron needs to play over Ibanez. Back to back At Bats should make it obvious
  8. Baseball Prospectus predicted today that it will take 82 wins to get into the wild card game in the AL. Going to be a crazy race but it'll be a fun season down the stretch because Seattle and Texas will be around all year. Angels will figure it out again and get back on track then it'll really get fun again.
  9. Hello everyone! My name is Matt, just finished up my college baseball career and have played baseball my whole life. Remember watching the Angels win the World Series back in the 5th grade and was a fan before that as well. I grew up near the Quakes and the 66ers so I watched every game I could of upcoming Angels if I couldn't make it out to the Big A. I found the forum because I started following on Twitter so I am looking forward to discussing the Halos with all the other fans out there. Hope to connect with you all soon! -Matt
  10. Chuck, I'm new to the site but I agree with you, no reason to delete it. Just been a rough road trip no need to panic at the moment. The way the starting pitching was going was no fluke. I am excited to see how Richards responds in tomorrow's game. On a positive note, Bedrosian looked great. Really hoping he can be the closer in the future. Along with Alvarez and Morin, the bullpen could be very tough in upcoming years.
