Hey I thought the Angels were in it to win it. I guess I was wrong dude. Oh well. Like Jerry said they are happy taking this current team to Spring Training. If they win with it, who knows. I don't know if they will. But 2 things I am sure of. 1. Angels are DONE spending money. So Garza is just moot at this point. 2. Tanaka must not be that bad if the Yankees had 175 million reasons to go all in on him.

Garza is just the best option at the moment. But Jerry pretty much said today. Don't hold your breath because they are happy taking this current team to spring training as is.

I hear what you are saying. Hell I was posting these same videos a couple of days ago. But like someone posted on here today. This team is built to win NOW. Not a few years from now. Either you are all in or not. That is why it made sense to throw a bunch of money at Tanaka for a Hail Mary. Honestly it is getting down to the 4th quarter and the Angels are down. Now they can keep running this conservative approach or they can get into their hurry up offense and try to win the game before it is over.

I think the Angels are going to go the Cheapo route no matter what this year.

I was against Garza because of my man crush on Tanaka. I felt Tanaka gave the Angels the best chance at a WS. Now that T is gone. Garza is the next best thing. Yes he has had elbow problems. Yes he struggled a bit on the Rangers. Does he straight suck like Blanton? No. Could he help the Angels wins. Short answer yes. Will the Angels spend money on him? Who the hell knows at this point. I am 100% behind bringing in Garza.

I agree chuck 1000%. I am just heated. I need to take some time away today. I wanted Tanaka so bad. Everyone here knew it. I just want the Angels to be better. And I am worried we aren't any better. I was 100% for Santiago and Skaggs. I agreed with you about Ibanez. I just was hoping we would get a lock down starter. At this point I will be happy with Garza.

He was overpaid. So was AP for 10 years. So was Josh after the Rangers fans who boo'd him off of the field. Nothing the Angels have done the last couple of years has been rational. Like I said in another thread I started that got deleted for no damn reason. Censorship at it's finest. The Angels are done spending. They sent Trumbo packing for save a few million. It wasn't for a pitcher. Garza won't be signed. Everything this did this year proves they overspent on AP,CJ and JH. Those spending days are done. Now this most likely will be deleted and my account deactivated for disagreeing this the sunshine blowing by the locals. Oh well. I had a good run for 2 months. See you all at Angels Stadium. It sure will be a fun year. With pretty much the same damn team as last year.

Arte isn't stupid, he isn't going to keep throwing more bad money after bad money. This offseason was a clear indicator of the direction this team is taking. They are cutting their losses. Maybe I need to clarify here. By them not producing, Arte busted and failed on his gamble. Hence they destroyed this team. It was an honest to goodness good gamble. One that did not pay off. Destroyed meaning, ticket sales will not pick up with another losing season. Money won't be there for Tanaka, Trout or anyone else for that matter. Heck they even dumped the same salary in Trumbo, I don't even know if we can sign sloppy seconds in Garza at this point.
