yep robertson and navarro jump started our winning this year.    

i hope i am wrong...they are just playing so horrible now and the other teams are hitting strides.  mike and albert need to wake the frig up when it counts. 

mvp is out the door for trout this year...donaldson is just flat out getting shit done.  trout keeps watching that first pitch.  I thought last year he was going to switch it up in the playoffs when it mattered most...didn't happen then and won't happen now.  

toronto line up line up is just scary to pitch too....just a tad better then the angels

well for one...its the angel curse of players coming to angels...that where they come to die.

navarro and robertson were getting it done and had energy....so yes this is a disaster...the good thing they are still on the team.

but probably can't come back up till sept...but we will be out of it by then.    this team just doesn't have mojo like other teams....so happy we didn't shoot our wad getting a bigger player

i am ok with trade deadline....a few bats won't change the clutchness of mike or albert and the others...so would have been waste.

with you in that when they lose like this a game i dvr'd....i will just delete if i catch wind of them losing...again every pitcher we go against is a cy young contender.

it will be interesting to see how weaver reacts and handles this going forward.   its not to say he can't have 3 or 4 game stretches of fooling batters into mishits...i just feel i can bat against him and its been 30 years since i have had a bat in my hand unless of course i am going after one of my kids or animals     

i think the cj thing is a bummer....as he is stuck on the angels for the duration of his contract.   if dipoto was here letting cj control the narrative would not have happened or any other in place GM.   

in theory we could have buyouts of the two next year.      I like trop and would like to see him...i think he has a great chance of sticking.   

would probably still be ok in long relief?  but is pain is too bad and pitching getting worse being off the roster is good choice.

I am good with the moves also.   nothing to mortgage what little we apparently had and they all get one more year to grow and maybe help us.    we should have plenty of cost controlled pitching into next few years for sure.    maybe get a chance at a FA bat with no draft pick attached

was really hoping for cj out and ethier in.....but that shipped sailed with all the pitching on the market.   the only thing made it viable is dodgers wanting to move the big contract...but as you can see now they don't care for rest of this year about money whatsoever

from what I remember...dipoto sold this to arte (cj, albert and even Hamilton later) to give our farm a chance to rebuild and catch up with the team.   so it was not all arte.    I am sure we can dig up one of his talks somewhere about this.

man talk about things done cheaply on the angels....ok with that too.    stud bull pen help would be good if price is ok....maybe benoit?   that would shorten some games in case we are smoke and mirrors with pitching.       

i heard hammels might block a trade to them?   i wouldn't might them spending a bunch to get him.

i want them to blow their hot prospect wad on some rentals if possible....if they get a chance to keep reloading while getting more seasoned we are in for major battles the next 5-7 years

its funny reading all the other boards out there...according to cinn fans or phil fans there are like two players even worth trading for on our team  trout and richards.     news networks and broadcasters also further this in that there is no one in the minors to get anything done....so victorino is all we are doing.

last year it was our minor league system was the worst by far...but if they counted what came from the minors on the big club and performing?   its just dumb.   maybe just a handful of teams had that kind of production from rookies.

i think they have to stay the course on the young cost controlled pitching and spend the money in our outfield.  

lets see how we do tues wed and thurs with the astros.     

with so much pitching available?  not the dodgers first choice.  it is one extra year of salary for ethier not two over wilson.    before the year began dodgers would have eaten more then half the contract to get it out of there.....thats what makes sense of it.      i think this is one deal that can get done after the deadline with all the money owed to each player....i am for it.

iannetta crossed over the line finally....hopefully he can get it to 235-240 for the year and we will be doing good.   not sure joyce has it in him to reach his career ave.

that at bat with joyce probably sealed the fate of an extra minor league chip leaving our team.   I am pulling for joyce...used to pull for frigging ham....but he is just lost up there now.  its in his face.    it happens...iannetta, cron most all of the team had this going on for a part of the season....but he needs salt lake for 10days to get out of this deep deep funk....like cron.

i feel a little embarrased...watching him hit a homer tonight i laughed and got teary eyed...like a proud papa with my own kids....we are seeing the legend grow on a weekly bases.

i feel i could have hit balls off weaver (i could not)  but he was our ace for a while.   its a little different.    bum did something last year that has never been done ever and the way the series played out you might have made the same decision to keep running bum out there.
