  1. ya i don't get it.  the players are sucking.

running?  they can't steal.  trout for some reason is not as fast as he was 3 years ago and when he does steal its so close.    the others have no chance.

the dude is running out so many lineups to get it going you could not name them all thats been tried.

if he is not signing off on you...you are not playing??   i mean napoli comes to mind...and i hate sosh for that, but he was a catcher when he played and knew what he wanted out there....i can see that.    the trade itself was horrific?   he was a throw in to get him off the team.      but in my mind most of the other players suck so bad how is he to put them on the fielf?   names??

any others that turned out great on other teams like napoli?

  2. ya but he can let go like jerry jones has....they have their moments...its sales when they need to close someone.   this is not to say a new owner can't come in and do a bang up job.   i wouldn't mind a balmer coming in...but also root for arte to turn it around and win one.   a couple of at bats last year get thru and we could be talking a different story...hamilton bats in the series like he is already this year??    it was in place to happen.    players need to play to win!!!!!!!!!

  3. i was at a card club the other night drinking heineken and this young hot hot girl probably 25 sat to play and promptly ordered a bud.   i could not believe it.   some people are just conditioned.   i would never in million years waste my time with a coors or bud.  i don't drink much which probably makes it a little tougher to choose one of those.    my wife does not drink beer and if we were having a party she used to go to the bud or coors section (its cheaper)  i had to almost tackle her.

  4. i am not ever doom and gloom...maybe might throw a joke at there once in a while.   the only thing i can think of this year on the field that pisses me off is the baserunning.    sometimes i understand it as we are so anemic at the plate.    i think we are probably even though as to how many games it cost us vs won us.   we are so close to 500 and the division that mistakes are amplified.

the players sosh is dealt the last few years?   i think he is getting all anybody would get.   would a diff hitting instructor help?  maybe   but it goes the other way too.

    players need to play.

I look at the playoff series last year where our batters had an at bat to be in the series and they did not come thru...more then once.

  5. this year might be different with stoneman...some trades targets were probably in the works with the assistants so possible they get done especially if the one assistant ends up taking over at year end.

this year more then any other the holes are so evident my wife can see the solutions.

  6. when i played fantasy almost twenty years ago...I was always looking to wheel and deal(not a good thing btw) - trading for some decent players hitting and pitching below the career averages...if you are going to win they need to get there.

here is a case where if just our slumping players can get there, not career highs, but reach their averages we would have a chance to do something....to be over 500 with them that bad is pretty amazing.

  7. ya....finally decent positive post.   sick to my stomach reading all the other shit...reminds me of all the laker bashing going with every single caster piling on on the doom and gloom.

if i was another team...i thought this about 2 weeks ago. i wouldn't pitch to mike and albert....not necessarily 4 pitch walks...but pitch around out of the zone to get them off their zones...clearly the others need to step up....its time.  if they don't we are not winning whether we trade or not....too many are not productive and would rather keep our bullets/assets then waste them on bad trades.

    go angels

  8. cj wilson btw....can always be a decent trade piece.  the more salary we eat the more valuable he becomes.   that scenario with washington is not that crazy

seems like he is 5050 on this board....some seem to think the prospects in the minors will jump right in and boot him out...it doesn't work like that...it took richards a little while to gain footing...he had decent expectations.

  9. spring training cron could save our offense and lots of prospects including himself.   he has to know this is kinda it for him in that regard w/ deadline approaching and seeing his name attached even if its us attaching it ;)

  10. i like santiago too...was thinking teams would prefer him as he was under control thru 2018...but he needs to be valued more and not as a shit pitcher.  if he is traded something very valuable needs to come back as he is being traded out of the rotation and being plugged straight into another one.  he is not a prospect.  last half of last year and first half of this year with an era under 3...i know people will say his shit won't hold...but it has for a full year.  If something big does not come back...i am good keeping him!!!

  11. i am good with getting samar...if we are going to keep him.  he won't carry a draft pick if we lose him ala grienke and I don't think we are in a position to say this dude puts us over the top to compete when most or our crap is on the hitting side of the ball.   never in million years trade a richards for him...for one we probably are not not going to offer him 120million bucks to stay.   i would rather just sign him after he is traded so we don't lose the pick.   maybe throw in an offer this year being 3rd best so he knows we are interested when the time comes to sign.
