Who's this guy and why is he not a part of it?
http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=alvare000rj-
He's been on the DL.
-
was very happy to see him use Morin and Bedrossian where he did tonight.
While he didn't have a lot of choice with Frieri unavailable, I was happy he at least marched Bedrosian out before Salas. I think this was a huge confidence boost for him to throw 2 scoreless against one of the best teams in baseball after getting what was essentially a rookie hazing from the ump his last time out.

His two best starts of the season are both against the A's. Go figure.

he slowly but surely working his way down the colon.

There's an hour old article with Gibson discussing getting him back in the rotation. I find it interesting because we've had plenty of discussions here about what level of communication there is between Dipoto and Scioscia about roster moves. I guess in the case of Arizona the answer is -- not much.

Social media and Forums like ours also take away from the hits that websites like the LA Times and the OC Register could. Reduced amount of page views and hits reduce their net profits in advertising.
Adblock has a significant effect as well. I'm familiar with a number of people at twitch.tv, and they've been deploying all kinds of measures to try and defeat it, because like 50% of their viewerbase uses it. While the average internet user is less savvy, it's still a pretty big hit if even, say, 15-20% are using it.

I don't give out props in June.
Let's see if we get to play meaningful games in October
Can't just give out those props like some hussy. Keep your props pure and save them for playoffs.

Aybar has had a couple seasons where he deserved consideration but he's had the misfortune of playing in the same league as our Lord and Savior.
-
Magglio Ordonez to the Tigers and Mariano Rivera to the Yankees.
-
Glad Weaver is more accurate with a baseball than a cooler of gatorade.
-
Thank you based Aybar.
He has put together some insanely good ABs lately.
-
Well that just happened
-
In other news -- the hockey game is apparently never going to end.
-
In his last 8 appearances, opponents have an .807 OPS against Salas. In what world is this good?
-
His command has been extremely good recently, whether it be another one of his temporary hot streaks or due to the new arm slot. Hopefully it's the latter, because he's been painting corners at 97, and that's pretty much always gonna bring success.
-
Sale since coming off the DL has thrown 18 innings with a .054/.070/.107 opponent slash. 23 Ks and 1 BB. That's pretty good.

How did Green look at 2nd?
Didn't get a lot of opportunities with Weaver on the mound, but turned a couple DPs. He made a mental mistake on a pop up to the short right bermuda triangle though and let a ball drop that probably should have been his. Replay showed he was never calling for it, and at the last second he just stopped and looked behind him, so he was clearly expecting to get called off by either Trout or Calhoun. That type of play is more lack of experience than ability though, so it doesn't really worry me much.

Cron is a statue at first, I don't even want to imagine the shenanigans that would ensue if he tried to play third.
-
Frieri has been mostly dominant lately. Honestly, if he's gonna get it out of his system, a 6-run game is the best way to do it.
-
Tonight when we score 8
Ibanez will bat clean up tomorrow and start in left. Cron will grab some bench. Green as well
Hope you're only 50% nostradamus.

Well, with this blowpen, 5 runs lead is not enough...........
Pujols homer when the Angels lead by 5 runs.........................
-
But now Joe Smith forgot how to pitch.
The curse is on.
Remember when we were praised for our baserunning?

This has to be trolling. Howie is safe on anything short of probably one of the top 5 throws I've ever seen from the outfield, and you're deeming this bad baserunning?
