  1. And a lot of the weird bullpen decisions are due to that bullpen availability matrix that basically ties his hands in key situations
  2. Nevin is fine. Not gonna win games when the offense stops hitting for at least half of every season
  3. Gifted him a free strike and he still wasted it. What a clown
  4. So this guy can't throw strikes, which means the best course of action is to swing at garbage in the dirt
  5. Our best bet at this point is Neto and O'Hoppe leading us to the playoffs in a decade after we're finally rid of all our bad contracts and Arte finally kicks the bucket after choking on some caviar before his poolboy can save him.
  6. Happens every year. I don't care if they're 75-5 through the first 80 games next year while averaging 12 runs a game, I'm selling hard.
  7. Which means they'll hold him while trading two prospects for a 2nd baseman that hit 30 HR's 6 years ago
  8. Since Perry got here they've doubled and tripled down on the homer or nothing approach and pitchers figure it out by June of each year. Especially telling is who they got to replace the injured guys: Escobar and Moustakas, two players who hit homers and do nothing else. The offense is run like a fantasy team
  9. And then immediately settling down after the damage has been done
  10. They do this every year too. Doesn't matter who the hitters are and whether everyone is healthy. They could have Soto, Acuna, Judge, and Yordan Alvarez and still be struggling to score 2 runs a game.
  11. DBacks shutting us down with the back end of their rotation just like the Dodgers did with their backup relievers
  12. Which is exactly why stats don't tell the whole story when you actually watch the team play
  13. They legitimately treated the Rangers series as their WS and mailed it in after
  14. 4-9 hitters went 0-21 with a single walk. May as well just bring back Magnesium Sierra at this point
  15. It's actually pretty impressive how many historically great individual seasons we've wasted between Trout and Ohtani
  16. Ohtani about to hit 65 hrs and put up a 2.50 ERA on a team with a losing record that doesn't even make the playoffs.
