I am one of the biggest Pujols bashers on here but give him at least until a couple weeks into the season. He has barely started facing live pitching for the first time in 8 months. Yeah, he's most likely going to suck again in 2014 but let's give him a full ST and some regular season starts in fairness to him.
Like me i am sure most of us have given him the last 2 years. He's done... we will never see pujols the way he was or the way we hoped for we won't even see a glimpse. Power will have to come from Trout & Hamilton

how did post turn into a joe blaton page? good to hear about Hamilton!

"but he is an all time great"
yes all time but we live in the now, now if he had these numbers from the last 2 seasons say as a 28 year old he would hardly be considered great. Greatness in nothing but a mere memory for Albert... was great is average now...
-
More homers: Ibanez
Better year: Pujols
yeah ibanez will have 150K bat 225 but have 30 HR's..... just like trumbo would have....
-
Since Albert is close in age (LOL) to Raul Ibanez Who Will Hit More HR's Ibanez or Pujols.
Ibanez 30 HR's
Pujols 22 HR's

So he [trout] is set for 1 mil this year, lets say he doesn't sign that 6 year deal, is he in arbitration next year what kind of leverage will the angels have?
-
Pitchers need to consider this. my 11 year old just pitched with this in, team mates had no idea and he didnt even notice... http://www.unequal.com/halo

2 IP, 6 K, 0 BB, 0 ER
if he can throw harder than 84
-
This is ridiculous! i smell lakers 2013 -2014 season....next pujols with plantar fasciitis in his other foot....
-
OMG! how the heck is he going to throw? FAT ASS...
-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Please, Jerry, consider my suggestions.
yeah thats what he will do. LOL!
-
waiting for the" Hamilton will take a few days off due to a "caffeine" headache.
-
me f'ing too! good thing is, my sons little leagues starts in 2 weeks and he is in the majors so a bit more competitive! get a small fix until the big boys get out there!
-
gee.. thanks thats great. when was that like 11 years ago? those glory days are long gone. now we are dealt with...well, this.
-
Agreed. Bourjos will be 27 next March and has played a grand total of one full season in the majors--and he's about to enter arbitration. Trumbo is about to enter arbitration, too. Sure, the Rays would have 3 years of control of both guys, but they're about to get a lot more expensive than they are right now--which kind of defeats the purpose of what the Rays are trying to do here.
exactly why bourjos will be good trade bait just because he is going to enter arbitration doesn't mean he'll win and with his lack of innings played his value is weaker but he has a great upside on potential.

Price isn't the type of guy we should be going after. We need cheap, club-controlled pitching.
heres the thing angels cant afford another year to experiment on pitching they need to go after GOOD pitchers with proven track records. And price would be for 2 years. right?
-
Could we would we? If so for who? We need pitching rumor has it he's gonna be on the block. I would love to have Price as weave no longer has ace ability. Your thoughts.
Price
Wilson
Weaver
Vargas
Richards
I think we'd compete.

No one dumber than John Rocker. ****ing idiot!
-
Some teams ahead the Angels play each other. Meaning one team has to win. Not possible.
so why aren't they officially eliminated yet?
-
Angels win, everyone else loses. It could happen.
oh man don't tell me that. if that happens i am the worst fan ever! I wrote this team off in anger and frustration. I stopped watching and caring and i actually started hating. i am a bad fan! LETS GO ANGELS! geez...
Pujols looks exactly the same
