Do the Mets have the Angels lineup, and by Colon's IP game logs on the season, are you just ignorant? Name me a better starter the Halos can after other than Price? It's the criticism against me as the reason my threads go, never the discussion. Meanwhile, it's mod's like Lou and Eric that ferment it. .

All right then, can anyone answer the friggen question from earlier Monday, July 7, 2014: Considering the options under the circumstance, which Gubby and Jose addressed themselves with Saturday night's broadcast, do you argue for the 6-man rotation, or do they trade for another starter off the market. All I've done here is suggest Colon over the bunch available yet, really, I'm overcrowded by a bunch of disruptive, rude, dickheads ignorant to discuss the subject. I mean, WTF, why are you even in here in the first place?!

If directed at me about Santiago, Tennischmp, no I just threw that out there before his start Saturday night. Colon, meanwhile, gave up 4 runs the first inning, shut them down after that only allowing 1 more run and still threw 7 IP. That's what I like about Colon. He gives the innings, doesn't get hit hard, and ideal for the Halos scheme of things by that lineup, which is scratching at the surface still. Langston uttered the same thing, himself, by the post game show the other night.

If forgot to add Jeremy Guthrie to the list as possibly available, too. Is the 6-man rotation comfortable? Ray Knight got fired from the Reds for it. Gubby himself said Saturday night, Eric, for the same concern that I alluded too already that may emerge between Skaggs and Shoemaker. They've logged minor league innings, but this is the majors. Mota then added for bringing on the 6-man rotation possibly against that, perhaps between Skaggs, Shoemaker, and Santiago for the bottom end. I just made it up, too, didn't I, Lou?! All of those exchanges with me wasted, care to continue? Di Poto will be confronted with the burning question by trade deadline, whether to go with the 6-man or to get the bargain vet that has logged in for the desirable, lower rotation season IP. Because, with Price or any of the other top available, they're too far out of the position to trade for them.

This bargain group compared to Colon involves vets on non-contending or present fringe teams that have put together 175+ IP of recent seasons as to who the Halos might consider to go after, assumed as might be available Kyle Kendrick, Ian Kennedy, Jorge De La Rosa, Charlie Morton, Scott Feldman, Kevin Correia, John Danks. Even though Colon is 41 y\o and been tarnished, none of them compare to him in terms of the Halos temporary need upon THIS season. Correia interests me the most out the group by his heart and grit if they don't consider Colon but, I wouldn't want that other team to get Colon if in the AL at the same time. I was dead on about Beanes intentions for his starting pitching staff, though.

For Colon: Santiago (as the compensation), and 1 or 2 prospects, depending the on the grades, perhaps? But that's beside my question, Lou, before you speak for AngelsnRamsFan. I'll put names out there considered to be in the group myself then, damn it!

You're boring me, Lou, with your technical appeals. Relatively speaking, you can compare bargain names available to Colon. It's not like the Mets can demand a boatload of prospects like the Rays can with Price or like the A's already did for Samardzija and Hammel. There are names out there to compare him with, you're just resisting.

Mea culpa, I too wrote Colon off along time ago, and since then he's amazed, served a suspension, and amazing, still, despite the age. His IP per game, command, and pitch efficiency are UNDENIABLY attractive. Someone will reap the reward getting the man, and I much rather that be the Halos.

DocHalo: The bottom line under the circumstances, TODAY, would you consider Colon nice insurance for the starting rotation?

Oh that's a bingo, AngelsnRamsFan, I've asked that of a few people already, not to name names, please tell who is the better bargain starting pitcher to go after over Colon? Price doesn't count because he's too expensive. Colon fits in with the group, though, because he's 41 y/o and has had a tarnished recent history over PED suspension, Give me some names and we'll compare, care too?

Eric: In 2012, Shoemaker threw 176.2 in AAA and 13, 184.1 That's encouraging, I'll give you that, but he's still a rookie and that workload doesn't insinuate for the majors. We'll see though, great stuff, but will it hold crisp over the long haul? Trade deadline approaching, probably best to insure against it. Shoemaker might even end up traded to the circumstances here.

Eric: How do transcend 170 IP from the minors to the majors? Maybe that's where his limit will be then, if he keeps it up! The bottom line is they're rookies and likely on limits.

It was pointed by the start before that he might have been tipping his pitches. Langston said it looks like he's lost the grip on the curveball. I spot that he aims at that moment he loses control. Altogether, it's confidence, and he needs to reassert himself from the bullpens between up through game time. Pitchers are funny breed, though. Randy Johnson mentioned, he could feel great about the bullpen and throw lousy in the game, and it could be vice versa. Maybe his intensity has become derailed by allowing himself to get distracted. .

Lou: The Brewers and Nats set Gallardo's (2009) and Strausberg's (2011) at 180 IP, allowing them to go over it upon the final start. Skaggs will probably be there, too, if he continues to pitch fairly deep into the games with each outing. Shoemaker came on later but if he performs the same way, there's that watch for him, too. Di Poto's moved on Thacker to replace Burnett. It looks like their stashing Santiago away as starting rotation backup reinforcement now, but that's a risk with passing up for the better reinforcement on the market now. Thus, for Colon or someone else, Santiago might actually chip as part of a trade.

Meanwhile, Oakland is 1-up on us now. Beane's moved to significantly protect that A's rotation by getting Samardjia and Hammel because what has been their strong area was starting to look shaky: Chavez (that he's pitched bullpen before only) and Kazmir (over a possible recurring injury that could bench him for awhile). If Di Poto answers back with reinforcing the bullpen without the starting pitching, is that the answer? I don't think so.
