  1. I feel your pain. I also am married to a Yankees fan, and we have produced two offspring.

One a Yanks fan and one a Halos fan.

Guess which one is my favorite? ;)

Seee and my boyfriend gets all huffy when I wear my Red Sox stuff. He walks faster and whenever someone asks how it feels dating a Red Sox fan he just sighs and say "well it's different". :D

  2. I usually am a pretty pessimistic as the year has gone by. I didn't know it was that many teams, so recently. In 2003 I was too busy hoping the Red Sox to win than bother thinking about anyone else. And well in 2007, I could care less about the Yankees because I hoped we would win again. But YAY! There is hope to win the WS!

  3. I all for giving him credit and what not. But honestly it isn't like they didn't believe he wouldn't produce period at all. The most important thing is if he can adjust and keep it up. Of course he can look great for 22 games. But going through the entire season isn't the same at all. Once a pitcher and other players have seen you for a bit, that's where the hard part starts. Like most of you said, he doesn't seem to have too much patience while at the plate and later on he can end up looking very Hamiltonesque. While we are on the subject, I don't think he should be an All-Star either. I know it is a glorified scrimmage that means nothing except for home field advantage. I guess I am one of those people who feels that he hasn't put in enough time to be in that category. And MVP, please.

  4. On one of the first sections of the Mitchell report, page 91, there is mention of a Red Sox player. It might not have been someone famous but it still was there. The 2003 Survey were hundreds of MLB players were on the "List", including David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez. Although MLBPA clearly stated that everyone on that list wasn't necessarily on the list for performing enhancing drugs.

The league really needs to get with the times though and start really making the push towards better and more efficient testing. And harsher penalties.

  5. I believe it was more his inconsistency going from a different order, to a different fielding position. That might have been the overall cause. If he hits jousts as well there, then good. I want him to succeed wherever he plays. T me was the main issue of I just don't believe the defense of Bourjous is THAT much better to warrant the move. Stats or no stats. I will admit that my opinion was more emotionally based rather than rational. I can own up to it stormngt.

  6. God, I hope so. After last nights piss poor performance how do you sit there and rationalize putting him in the lineup? In my head I imagine the episode in King of The Hill where Hank takes the shot of tequila and passes the Flying Hawaiian on his super shitty term paper. That is what I believe Scioscia does every day before he makes the line up card, except it takes about 4 or 5 shots. Could some one please make that a gif?

  7. I could of sworn I posted on the new site but oh well.

    Here goes.

Went to a game on September 25, 2011. It was against the Texas Rangers and I saw Trout. Have been a fan since. (Bf thinks I have left the Red Sox, he he) Joined about halfway through 2012 on the old forum, found the site on twitter via a Mike Giovanni article. Name is the same as the old forum. Definitely love the way the forums look and operate, and attempting to get the bf to join because it is a great place. Definitely hope to be more active in the forum.

  8. It's stuff like this that makes me consider not bothering becoming a SSH. It seems that as of late customer service is becoming more of an issue. the idea of scalper is much more shady than it actually is now. I am glad that there are people who do this. It gives me the ability to get tickets on the fly just in case we want to catch a game unexpectedly. It seems so odd, there was no possible solution for you to get handicap access tickets without all this back and forth.

  9. Being a baseball fan first, rather than putting a team above all else, I don't have a problem with this. Watch out guys, super fan. I mean is it really that big a deal? No, it is not. He's a future HOF'er that is being honored because this is his last season. I am a Red Sox fan first, but I don't have a problem with them honoring a person of Mariano's caliber. Putting fandom aside, this is baseball history and lore. I'm sure that the Red Sox will do something as well. Did you have a problem with all those ballparks playing Sweet Caroline after the Boston Marathon Bombings? It's simply about bringing baseball together, regardless of what team you root for. Get over it Halo Honk.

  10. It should of stopped after Kennedy hit Puig. Don't think it was overly intentional, but Greinke's pitch definitely was. Everything else after that was just ridiculous. A good portion of players should of have suspened, if not fined. Especially whomever got that one D-backs player almost over the railing. That is taking things way too far.

  11. I can honestly say I have yet to go alone to a game, but I have done everything else by myself.Movies, theme park. The beach. The bf and I don't chat very much during a game, because we are there to watch the game so sometimes it is kinda like being alone until he realizes he's dating that crazy chick yelling :"For the love of god, shut up already!" at women and men who have absolutely no idea what is going on and just like to talk about everything else but the game. Had one experience like that at Dodger Stadium were some lady would not stop calling Matt Kemp, Matty Kemp. It was in the most shrill annoying cougar type of voice ever. I really had to stop myself from turning around and slapping her.
