  1. He says he has a medical plan ready to go but he doesn’t. He wants to wipe out Social Security. He wants his daughter to be the next president. He lies all the time. He continues to deny his suckers and losers comment. His marriage is a fraud.
  2. Different market, different ownership, different expectations.
  3. Trump is getting torched on the President and the People. Everyone needs to watch.
  4. We can agree that they were both great players and leave it at that.
  5. Pujols in 2003 & 2004 was at his best. Mike Trout has never put together a season like either of those.
  6. Albert played in 77 postseason games so their careers are not even comparable. Not many players have 19 hr’s and 54 postseason RBI’s and two championships.
  7. I only wish that guys like Arte would just vote privately and STFU.
  8. Just another stat that goes unnoticed and what I feel is one of the biggest reasons why Trout gets cheated out of playing in the postseason. Pujols 2001 - 2010 averaged 187 PA’s wRISP per season. Trout 2012 - 2019 averaged 143 PA’s wRISP per season. That’s a huge disparity.
  9. https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/1686314-albert-pujols-bitterness-toward-cardinals-shows-he-regrets-decision-to-leave.amp.html “It's no secret that Pujols, now 33, is on the decline. His production and performance has dropped off for “four straight seasons” now, following his third MVP campaign—and second straight—in 2009.” And another story talking about the same thing. We like the illusion that baseball players can be good until their late 30s or even early 40s. And every now and again, a player like that does come along — you can look at what Ortiz is doing now. But it’s a rare, rare thing. Albert Pujols is doing EXACTLY what the Angels should have expected. They signed a 32-year-old player already showing signs of decline, moved him into a tougher hitters ballpark in a new league. If you take emotion out of the equation and forget that his name is Albert Pujols, his decline into oft-injured designated hitter who hits a few home runs would have been as predictable as the Anaheim weather. But we can’t just take emotion out — what fun would baseball be without emotion. And so it’s important to remember just how good Pujols was and why the Angels wanted to believe.
  10. Yet we have a new thread today describing Pujols “prime years” as 2001-2010.
  11. He knew he wasn’t playing as well as he did in the past. The stats pointed towards decline before he signed with the Angels. Arte got caught in the moment and the rest is history.
  12. Looking forward to the postseason. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred is optimistic about the potential for the league to welcome back fans for the final two rounds of the playoffs.
  13. The Marlins wouldn’t provide a no trade clause and they couldn’t provide a DH spot. Albert would’ve been an even bigger disaster if he had signed with the Marlins. He knew that.
