Sorry I missed this Fanfest! This was some of the very best of times for Sordy and I. I had no idea this was still happening. He was my "conect." LOL. Things have changed. I am legally blind and I struggle commenting on some sites. Just figuring out on the proper place to respond is a journey! I am still, and always will be, a fan of our Halos. I will do what I can to make sure I attend next year's Fest. Chuck and the crew always go above and beyond.

I remember that day

Thanks Lou for th look back. ST is very different for me now. I miss our arguments over food, who's driving, why I didn't get the "right'" pic of him, him killing the battery on my lap top, which strip club is better than the other....and of course our discussions on Angels baseball....THAT I miss most...baseball is not the same for me now. I spent over twenty five years talking and living Halos Baseball with Mike....I miss it, and him, dearly. Hope all at Angels Win are well, This is a very unique and special place. Jim HALOMVP

Sorry to bring sad news to you all.... My dear friend, Mike Sword known to us all here as 'Percy Squint' passed away last night after a brief battle with cancer. Those of you that know him know that he was a HUGE life long Angels fan. He and I started going to Spring Training together back in 1991 and every year since then. He missed last year due to health issues. We have another Angel keeping and eye on us. Love you all, be well. Dare I say.....leadership? Our 'leadership' in '02 had a different feel to it. Expectations were different.....remember, we weren't even expected to beat NY! Our front office folks have drastically changed. Even in spring training, the club house is so much different now. I am NOT saying it's bad leadership....and I am NOT putting the entire 'chemistry' thing on Scioscia, THAT would be idiotic. It's above him.... We are going to be fine, this season is going to be a whole lota fun. The PLAYERS need to take 'ownership' as a team and then we will see some of that chemistry we all love. Losing Torii.....sucked! Move on and just play our game and WIN DAMN IT!!

Once again....awesome job Chuck and crew! Love hearing the insights of former players (Fish,) current players (Kole, Mike, Matt and Spoons...all great kids) and yes, even the 'media.' Rojas was freakin' hilarious! March is my Halo's season now. Since moving here to Az, I need to get in as much as I can....and I have. I believe this is my 14th ST (PercySquint....is that correct? I have lost track...it's that age thing again!) and this truly has been the most insane. Thats not to say they haven't been insane in the past....(Confidentiality issues here) I have been blessed to house a couple of minor leaguers for the entire ST....six+ weeks of live, front row, in my face BASEBALL!! I have learned more about my team and the sport then I ever thought I would.....and somethings I didn't really want/need to know! LOL! This April will be the first Opening Night I have missed on the Holy Grounds of Halo Stadium in.....at least a decade and a half. If it wasn't on a damn Tuesday night, I'd be there!! (Damn job keeps getting in the way!) Anyways, WELL DONE AW,COM! Proud to be a member of such an amazing crew of Angels fans. Really wish my door prize donation was given away though. Would have made a fan very, very happy. Let me know where/when ya'll give it away. I'll have something even cooler for Fan Fest 14! YEA!!! Here's to a season full of Halo Victories!! Jim
