Panera has always been overpriced garbage. I've never gotten steak at Chipotle that wasn't chewy. But Chipotle has got some of the most addictive tortilla chips I think I've ever had. Five Guys ain't worth the price, I'd rather go to The Habit (which is still delicious and decently priced) plus they have onion rings.
It's just an attempt at ruffling feathers with some commie gobbledeegook.
Really what it comes down to is these companies attempt to grow too fast and it turns them to shit. They start off decent with quality and service while they're small, then they start expanding too fast. Eventually they get in way too far over their heads, and as operating costs grow the sales don't keep up, so they start cutting corners and the quality drops.
Some things are still good from time, but it's definitely hit and miss, and just not as good as it used to be.
Once Wendy's changed their burgers and took away the Biggie nomenclature a decade ago it all seemed to go to shit. They really ruined what used to be one of the best burger chains in the fast food industry.
