A few years years ago, I saw Kole Calhoun play at Security Service field (for the Salt Lake City Bees) against our Colorado Springs Sky Sox. That kid could flat out hit! I wondered if Arte would eventually call him up. He did.

Yes--Anaheim and Santa Ana share the same airport, but its not located in any city, but unincorporated Orange County.

The 2nd Day is significant for two Saints. First, the 2nd Day of Christmas is the Feast Day of Saint Stephen, the first Christian Martyr. It is also the night of one of the Greatest Christmas Light Miracles during the Dark and Middle Ages, when Saint Wenceslas I went out into the slums of Prague in severe sub-zero to give alms to the poor. As he left footprints in the snow, heavenly Christmas Light began to shine from his footprints, and people who joined Wenceslas' quest and followed in his footprints were able to stay warm. Several hundred years later, St. Wenceslas became the subject of a popular Christmas Carol, and became better known as "Good King Wenceslas."

With Jim Nabors passing, Betty Lynn (Thelma Lou--Barney Fife's girlfriend) is the only surviving cast member of the Adult Characters of the Andy Griffith Show. Francis Bavier (Aunt Bee), Andy Griffith (Sheriff Andy), Don Knotts (Barney Fife), George Lindsey (Goober), Hal Smith (Otis the town drunk), Howard Morris (Ernest T. the town loon) and Jack Dodson (Howard Sprague the County Clerk) are all gone, and now Jim Nabors (Gomer Pyle). Ron Howard of course is still around, but he was not part of the adult cast.

Could you imagine the criteria for a manager to get into the Hall of Fame is winning one World Series. There would be a lot managers in the Hall of Fame. I doubt Scioscia gets in with his weak resume.
He has led The Halos to more Post Seasons than any of the other Angels Manager. Basically, Mike may be the best thing that has happened to the franchise.

Of course not.
As the Apostles' Creed states, "He was conceived by The Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary....."

I grew up in Orange County liking both teams: The California Angels and The Los Angeles Dodgers. I first started liking The Dodgers in the Early 1960's when Danny Kaye rocked the world with his "D-O-D-G-E-R-S" song. I first started liking The Angels when Angels Stadium was built and completed in the 1960's. I was a California Angels Fan from 1967 thru 1994 when MLB went on strike. A year before The MLB Strike which ended my years as a California Angels fan, I won a small package of Angels Tickets at an Opportunity/Raffle Drawing at a Toastmasters International Speech Contest, and that was an enjoyable season. That was the year Tim Salmon was a rookie, if I'm not mistaken. I got very good seats. I became a Minor League Baseball Fan and National Anthem Singer in 2005 (Long Beach Armada--now defunct) and became a Dodgers Fan again in 2006.

According to some here, Arte shut down the OMB because of people badmouthing his decisions, and then made up a story about a suicide to hide his real intentions.
From what I observed, all of the MLB Boards closed except the Los Angeles Dodgers Board. I'm not sure, but I think a lot of it is because the teams all have Official Facebook pages now, where people can make posts and the moderators have a lot more control.

A few years ago, I saw Kole Calhoun play at Security Service Field in Colorado Springs when he played for the Salt Lake City Bees, TWICE, when The Bees were playing the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. That kid could flat out hit! I know he will pull out of this slump
