Gaa lamer be damned. Cronheads, I say!

I think fans should wear coneheads to the game with halos on top with t-shirts that say Cronheads. Make this happen.

Is it top 10 closers or relievers? Some of those guys were never closers. Losing Don Aase cost us the 1982 World Series. And Brendan Donnelly was one of our 10 best relievers.

I don't think anyone has said this yet. We have been extremely blessed at that position. By comparison, name the top 10 Angels defensive shortstops. Or catchers. We've had six or seven guys who would be top three for most every other franchise in the League.

Soon as he does, I'll have confidence in this team. Until then, we're just a two-man offense.

I really liked it when it started, but it is stale now. Everybody has friends who are fans of NL teams. It was fun to see the Angels play the Mets, the Braves, the Pirates, the Reds, etc. But it's never balanced. The first nine games the Angels played against the Cardinals were in St. Louis. And what it does to intraleague play is silly. Are we playing the Red Sox three times, four times, six times or seven times this year? Before interleague play you played the AL East teams 12 times an the AL West teams 13 times. That was just about perfect. Now it's all a jumbled mess. And like someone mentioned earlier, how is it fair that the Angels have to keep playing the Dodgers every year while the Yankees get the Mets and the White Sox get the Cubs? We might lose a wild card spot to one of those teams one of these days simply because we went 2-4 against our rival and they went 6-0.

Some of us are old enough to remember what life was like without it. The All-Star Game and World Series were that much more intriguing. It was kind of weird because the Angels (and everyone else) would play more games against the other division than against their own. Wouldn't be that way now. I think baseball should try it for one year, just to see how fans like it.

Can we call him Deep Freese yet, or does that imply that he has power?

I'm just saying...if you look at that 12-year period, I would bet you that the A's, Rangers and Angels would all be top half of the league, record wise. Maybe even top third. It's crazy that the last AL West champion to win a World Series was the 1989 A's.

The Angels' World Series victory in 2002 was the last Series win for the AL West division. This despite many successful seasons by the Angels, Rangers, and A's. And let's not forget the M's won 114 games in 2001.

None of this is being discussed if Hamilton didn't do something incredibly dumb. We lost two games to the A's because we are getting next to nothing from too many players in the lineup, and because the bullpen sucks. But don't you feel that replacing Ibanez's 0-for-5s with Hamilton's 2-for-5s with extra base hits would be the difference these last two nights?

He doesn't miss bats.
