    The Angels won't sign him until after opening day because otherwise his AAV would count against the luxury tax for 2014. I'd look for a 10-year contract around May or June.

    The Pirates young pitchers aren't really available because they need them all. They may lose Burnett and they know Liriano and Wandy are both crap shoots.

    Can't compare contracts Darvish and Dice-K got because they could only negotiate with one team. Tanaka, if he's posted at all, will have 15+ teams bidding for him. I expect him to get $18-20M a year. 5-6 years.

    Wanted to chime in.... Based on my conversations, I don't believe the Angels believe they have enough pieces for David Price. However, I do believe that's in the best interest of the Angels and the Rays to portray that. Drives up the price if more teams are believed to be in the bidding.
