  1. I don't know if you guys have heard about this but i figured i would pass it along.I tried going back a few pages to see if it's been posted and i didn't see it so i apologize if this has been posted already. I saw on twitter that Albert Pujols and Mike Trout have contributed to "Do It For Durrett" a benefit/concert/auction that is being held in September to raise money for Richard Durrett's wife, child and his future child as his wife is currently pregnant after he expectantly passed away. Many players/coaches and Hall of Famers from across the league have signed bats, balls, jerseys etc. A lot of other sports have contributed such as Dirk and the Mavericks, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart of Nascar, the Cowboys, Stars, TCU football and Texas A&M football. Anyways, Mike Trout signed a copy of his Sports Illustrated and Albert Pujols signed his 500th homerun ticket as well as his copy of his Sports Illustrated. I'm a little surprised Josh Hamilton didn't contribute since he sent out a tweet when Durrett passed away plus a lot of former Rangers have signed stuff but they get new stuff in every day so it's possible he wants to do more than just sign something.

If you want to see what Trout and Pujols contributed as well as other players:

I personally think it's pretty awesome what they are doing. Seeing so many big names from all around the league as well as different sports contribute to this show that this man must have been a pretty great guy and sadly his children will be growing up without a father.

  2. I'm taking about hindsight as far as hiring a GM, signing players, trading players, hiring managers, hiring different coaches, etc. You have to make different moves and some will work and some won't. If you never make them, than you'll never know. Moreno hired two different GMs, and yes maybe they've haven't been the most competent but how would we know until after the fact? Some orgs strike gold and get awesome GMs right off the bat and others dumpster dive until they find someone that stinks less than the previous. The Angels are part of the dumpster diving crew.

  3. I don't want the Yankees getting out of the A-Rod contract. Being that i was born, raised and still currently reside in Northern NJ, only about 25 minutes from NY and am surrounded by obnoxious Yankees fans their A-Rod contract is glorious to me. I got sh*t on when they signed that contract for saying how stupid it was and i'm just sitting here like "I told you so" and they're just like "27 rings".

  4. For all of you who love to talk sh*t about Reagins and Dipoto, who do YOU suggest Moreno hires as a GM? When it comes down to it, some things work out for an organization and others dont. It can be said about players, GMs, managers, coaches, etc. Players can be great on one team but suck on another, managers can be one of the best in the game on one team and never even manage a contending team on another. Unless you have a crystal ball, hindsight is always 20/20. Even some of the best GMs have made shitty trades or signings. Yes, DiPoto has made some questionable moves, but we didn't hate them until the season started. Hell, some of us loved his moves the past two offseasons. This season is a wash, and 99.9% of the org is to blame not just DiPoto.
