"A married couple from Vernon and their 6-year-old son were inside a Jeep on Saturday afternoon when it veered off the steepest of Mountain Creek's 42 ski trails and flipped over about 20 times while tumbling 500 feet down the mountain, authorities said Monday. ***"
Interesting story from the guy who witnessed this, then ran up to rescue...he stumbled on a rather large bear just before he got to the jeep!
"As if getting to the site was not sufficiently challenging, Hayes first had to evade a large bear, near what turned out to be the crash site."
This guy is bad ass. He witnessed the crash ... started running up a steep slope of boulders, evaded a bear, rescued injured people in jeep. Probably not the day he was planning on having

Looking forward to the season, IF they get Nicks and Cruz on the field.
JPP having the back surgery was a surpise, and a concern without Osi here now.

I just wanted to recognize the retirement of one of my favorite football players ever- Ronde Barber. Lifelong Buc and the only corner with at least 20 sacks and 20 INT's. He will end his career with 28 total sacks and 47 INT's.
I'll never forget sitting in Veterans Stadium on January 19, 2003 and seeing Ronde seal the NFC Championship with his 92 yard INT TD on Donovan McNabb.
I heard a couple months back that the Bucs basically told him they would bring him back, but he wouldn't be a starter. This was the organization's way of avoiding the Derrick Brooks debacle, where they simply cut him, enraging Bucs fans everywhere that they'd treat a legend like that.
Hopefully in five years Ronde is being fitted for his Hall of Fame jacket.
Just starting to get into NFL mode now that the NY Rangers are done, and so are the Angels.
Ronde was great, but always overshadowed by the POS brother of his. Tiki was great on the field, but that is where it ended.
I never heard much about Ronde's off the field persona. How was he?

I take the guy from New Jersey. Forgot which one he is.

Did anyone notice that when Robb was looking at the battlefield map with his mom, there was a token of a guy strapped to an X shaped torture device like Theon Greyjoy is currently enjoying?

The BAd News Bears. Tanner Boyle is a true American hero.
Oh, I've got a helmet. And it's a beauty.
Sounds like Easy Rider? I am assuming I am right, and going forward.

That would be Grumpy Old Men. I use that line on my kids all the time.

Getting sick of both of these guys.

Robb's uncle is the one that married the girl. I know he looks young. I think it was Roose Bolton (trying to remember) that left to go "piss on a tree" but he really just left to put on his chain mail before the massacre.
No, it was the guy with the beard sitting on the other side of Ms Stark. he talked about how his nephew was complaining the whole ride there about having to get married.
-
Does anyone else think that Robb's cousin/uncle were in on this ambush? The guy who got married (Edmure Tully) was not in the room for the slaughter, and his uncle just happened to leave so he can "piss on a tree". He also got the good looking girl to marry.

When I saw the thread title, I expected this to be the suggestion.
No way that Santana and his inconsistency is worth the best power bat on the roster- especially since we let him walk at the end of 2012.
Sorry, did not think I needed the sarcasm emoji for this one.

Agree. Oh my god what a shocker to see that happen. I expected a trap, but not that.

Say NO to Shields
Replace him with Ervin Santana and you have yourself a deal.

Wait for Hanrahan to be a free agent after this season. Sign him to a two year deal.
Imagine that 1-2 punch: Madsen setting up Hanrahan

Nobody claimed us Irish as being too smart around booze...
Us Irish have the name, but its the Polish that play the game.

He's a pro athlete, yet shows no toughness at all
He would be a perfect European hockey player in the NHL

The Captain is a candidate for the head coaching position:
Big mistake. A legend on the ice does not become a legend behind the bench without some on the job training. I think he would be a great coach, but needs to start as an assistant/co-coach with an older, established guy as head coach to groom him. Mike Keenan comes to mind.

holic.- Played to career averages in 2 seasons. Amnesty buyout after strike put in a hard cap
gomez.-Traded to Montreal for McDonough and Prust via Calgary
drury.- Faded with age
trading leetch.- End of career. Played 1.5 more seasons. Got Michael Sauer
kasparitis.- Played OK but was breaking down due to his style of playtrading adam graves.-End of career. Played 2 more seasons totaling 49 pts. Got Michael Samuelsson in return
redden.- Flop. Still cannot understand his lack of production
rozsival.- Put up his best numbers as a Ranger.
kotalik.- Traded to Calgary as part of the deal for Prust and Olli Jokinen
richards.- Too early to call this one. A lot of money over a long term. He was nails in last post season, but buried by Torts this year.
all teams have their fair share of dumb moves, the rangers just seem to do it more often.
if not for the CBA letting them off the hook the org would be in pretty rough spots.- true, big market team can afford this
richards will be the next write off.- true. Will probably come back at a lower price
gaborik didn't work out but it wasn't that bad.- Gabby was run out of town by Torts. One of the big reasons he gone

Agree. Then we can't lose.
They either improve, or get caught and suspended. Either way, we are done watching these sorry asses.
