  1. KC is going to be tough for us to beat IMO. We better start delivering on our run scoring opportunities. That's been our one glaring weakness all year.
  2. He might be a Double A caliber pitcher right now. The dilemma is where and when does he take the mound. Don't need him in the bullpen or as a starter. Might be tradeable to some team who'll take chance on him as long as the Halos eat most of his remaining contract.
  3. The Dodgers Billy Bean is the fudge packer not the A'a Billy Beane.
  4. The thing he's best at is dumping the post-game gatorade on the Halo hero. Spectacular technique in avoiding getting caught in the act. Certainly worth $15 Millon per year, maybe even more.
  5. Trout always takes the first pitch now. Why? Is this what Baylor and Scoiscia want. The opposing pitchers simply throw the first pitch to Trout right down the middle for the called strike. That leaves him only two strikes to work with and the pitchers in are in control. Something's wrong right now. He's good for 2-3 strikeouts every game. At that clip, he will be close to 200 K's by the end of the season. Not want you want from any hitter especially one batting second in the order.
  6. More and more, he doesn't seem to be able to catch up to the heater. He's striking out way too often now and it looks like he's beginning to doubt himself a bit. Could be wrong but the numbers since the All-Star break speak for themselves.
  7. It's like his blind spot and he's easly tied up.
  8. Richards had Texas tied up in knots and it didn't appear he was tiring at all. The look he gave Scioscia when he was taken out was one of disbelief more than disappointment. Then nothing but fast balls Jepsen comes in almost blows it. TG we got Street !! He's as cool a dude as there is.
  9. He seems to have lost it and I don't think he has a chance with the stuff he's throwing now.
  10. Pujols and Hamilton= Sh**ty Return on Investment. I hope I'll have to eat crow.
  11. They'll be tough to beat in the playoffs if they make it.
  12. He's having just a great overall season so far. His 110 K's, however, leads the AL and maybe MLB in toto. Trout has struggled with the middle/inside high fastball and the hard slider. He absolutely kills the low fastball and it's unreal the lift he gets on the ball. He's fun to watch !!
  13. I root for Josh more than anyone. He's a sitting target against breaking balls. That's all u have to throw him. He looks lost and has seen his better days I'm afraid.
  14. We already have a good bullpen, IMO, and Smith is doing his job. As good as Street seems, I hate to see us parting with our top prospects for a relief pitcher. Our achiiles heel is still starting pitching, especially Wilson who looks nothing like a major league pitcher now. That's why Oakland is a good bet against us. Seattle has the best arms in the American Leagu. , IMO.If they ever find some punch, look out.
  15. How many time have they had runners reach third with less than two outs and not converted. Both Calhoun and Trumbo K'd on pitches out of the strike zone in the ninth tonight and in Trumbo's case the ball was at cap level. He has never learned the strike zone.
  16. Might be doing some good things but he evidently isn't getting through to Trumbo. His discipline at the plate and understanding of the strike zone are atrocious for a veteran major league hitter. How great can he be if he overcomes that ??
  17. Yeah, I know he has several years left on his contract. That shouldn't stop Arte...he has deep pockets. Simply put, this team doesn't execute when its needed most-RISP and they strike out way too often. Don't get me started on the pitching. You don't need prior managerial experience to manage a MLB team. If you know baseball, have a competent coaching staff and can count, you can manage. Talent helps too. Possible Replacements ?? Kevin Kennedy Tim Salmon Rod Carew David Eckstein Darren Erstad any of those would do for me. Dipoto should go too.The Greinke trade is certifiably one of the dumbest on record. Any thoughts who might replace him ?? Butcher and Eppard need to seek employment elsewhere too. Mark Langston, Brian Downing, Darren Erstad ??
  18. Put simply, he's a winner not a loser. An incredible talent and a throwback to the Golden Era when baseball was truly our national past time. It's highly doubtful we re-sign him.
  19. What a fool I am to keep watching them hoping for a turnaround. They are a zero and that's the truth. Enjoy Trout while he's here.
  20. I love this guy. Unless he learns the strike zone and lays off the breaking balls in the dirt, he'll always be strikeout waiting to happen.
  21. He has some serious heat but no appreciable breaking ball to set up the hitters. That and his spordic control means we've probably seen his best. The Padres cut him loose because of control problems.
  22. 1.The worst clutch hitting team in MLB, I would bet. 2. The most unproductive and inefficient lineup of high priced players in MLB, I would bet. 3.The worst farm system in baseball, I would bet. 4. The worst manager and coaching staff in MLB, I would bet. I ran out of time.
