  1. Gubi usually lays the problem with our pitching on mechanics..e.g opening the shoulder too soon, etc. Well now, Is it not Butcher's job to correct those type things ?? With the possible exception of Weaver, I can't think of any other Angel pitcher who has improved under Butcher's tutelage. That is especially true for the young arms we've had over the past few years..e.g Santana, Jepsen, O' Sullivan, Bell, Chatwood. They've regressed, been traded, or released.
  2. They couldn't hit one to save their lives.....especially Pujols, Hamilton, Trumbo, Kendrick, and Ianetta. This team is destined to be one of the storied underachievers of the modern era. Pathetic !!
  3. "Guys we need to pick it up a notch or two. No better place to start than the post-game spread".
  4. This team is insufferable. It's time to call Scoscia on the carpet to account for the abyssmal failure. The only leader we have is Weaver. He's a certifiable stud and a fierce competitor.Trout is close but still young. We really missed out on re-signing Tori.
  5. Hard to keep awake past the fourth inning. No life, no nothin ' It's great for insomnia though.
  6. Those Eckstein types that fight and scratch all the time. They lead by example and quietly.
  7. But I love the guy...he's all Halo's.
  8. Bad habits, and no dependable pitching = bad team. There's a lot of blame to go around. Anyone can see that Sciocsia has lost the team and is not worth supporting given the team's uninspiring play. That's on him and he has to be accountable. Di Poto hasn't fared much better.
  9. Like last year, this one is a failure too, so far. There's no energy or purpose to their game at all, that I see. Jiminez is the one bright spot. When will have Arte seen enough to pull the plug or will he ride it out come what may.
  10. He's no friggin' prima donna like A-rod is. He seems like he's got it going now and the power we've been waiting for should be here soon.
  11. He's a really nice guy and very knowledgable. Just like McCarver, he thinks he must make some type of lengthy commentary after every damn pitch. Maybe that's what the producers want.
  12. At age 21, it's probably too much to ask for a repeat of last year's performance. A potentially worrisome part of his game emerging is his increasing propensity to strike out on fast balls. In fact, it's been a problem with the Halo's other power hitters too. Let's hope they all come around and produce like they can.
  13. I mean Geez look at him. I don't know how many post-game interviews I've watched where he has to wait to answer because his mouth is full of food. Arte is not getting his money worth....that's for sure.
  14. This team is lost and boring. It's so obvious. Erstad, Salmon, Eckstein or ??, would be better than Mike, IMHO.
