Wow, his 5.9 K/9 is really low
Ya it's kinda odd when he's said to be throwing 100 mph or so.
-
Over his last 5 starts he's only walked 11 over 33 innings.
-
RHP Johnny Hellweg, the other player the Angels sent to Milwaukee for Greinke, will start for the Brewers Friday. 2.82 ERA in Triple-A.
Get to add more fuel to the fire.
-
Aybar is such a dumb ****ing player.
-
Who did Arizona trade him for?
-
From Rotoworld:
Josh Hamilton had a brace on his right wrist after Friday's game.Hamilton also had a cortisone shot and is expected to remain sidelined until Tuesday. He has been dealing with a tendinitis-like condition in his wrist over the last 10 days. The Angels don't believe the injury will require a stint on the disabled list. I'm happy to see this writer really gets it.

This may surprise some people, but I say trade him.
It's no coincidence Howie is having his best season when the season is already well over, and the pressure is off. We could have used this type of offense from him last year when the team almost made the playoffs, instead he had a crap year. He just doesn't play well when the pressure is on, he's just not a championship player.
Trade him while his value is high, but only if you get some value in return.
-
how many dp's have the angels hit into this year now? feels like 90
-
lol pujols, not one pitch was near the strike zone and he swings at all 3 and k's, ****ing idiot
-
That pitch to Ortiz was just dumb. In his first ab, they had him 1-2 and tried to sneak a fastball by him. sharply hit single
Next ab, 1-1 count and they try to sneak a fastball by him. 3run jack. How about we stop throwing him fastballs.
Hanson made him look bad with nothing but slow offspeed stuff. I wonder if there is anyone on this board that would like to weigh in on scouting.
its has more to do with that tard iannetta, he calls 95% fastballs to every hitter, because:
1. he cant throw anyone out unless its a fastball and he still fails
2. he sucks at calling games and going over scouting reports.
that is why our pitching sucks.
-
Having to burn Ernesto in this game. Thanks a lot, Garrett
garret is better than ernesto and his one pitch hit me fastball lol
-
i cant watch the game, but was richards throwing nothing but fastballs in the 9th? iannetta has a habit of calling only fastballs when runners on base cuz he cant throw anyone out for shit and our pitching gets rocked.

We'll take 2 in Boston, get swept in Baltimore, then take 2 from the Stanks.
so you believe a team that got swept by houston is capable of winning 2 of 3 against boston and NY? lol
-
I think they might be looking for some pitching, you guys
to trade them all for roy halladay?
-
We're gonna trade him for Curtis Granderson later this season.
he's too young, try miguel tejada.

I hope the comparison isn't for their mechanics, but rather their stuff
Baseball America: " He throws from a low three-quarters arm angle and gets good armside run on his fastball, which appears even quicker because he throws with such little effort...
Looks like both

Left-handed pitcher Hunter Green is one of the youngest players entering the 2013 MLB draft, making him an exciting pitcher with plenty of projectability, but one far away from making an impact at the major-league level.
Green's best pitch is his fastball, as his off-speed pitches need some work. The starter is still growing into his body, which makes some scouts hopeful that he can add more velocity as he continues to mature. The 17-year-old also needs to work on his command, but any team that selects the starter will give him plenty of opportunities to improve.
The southpaw is committed to the University of Kentucky, so he does have the option of joining the college ranks if he does not come to an agreement with whatever team drafts him.

Sounds like another cj wilson

Howie is second on the team with RISP with a .315 AVG. Pujols is the only one better at .349.
4th in RBI
1st in AVG
3rd in OPS
2nd in oWAR
People love to Howie bash but he has been very good this season.
howie's fanboy speaks again. howie is first in terrible situational hitting, terrible baserunning, and leads the league in errors committed while the game is on the line.
your stats dont tell the whole story do they?
-
only mike scioscia would use 8 pitchers and still lose the game. cubs used only 4 lol
nice job on blowing out your bullpen for the boston series.
-
-
Why are they so clueless against lefties?
because the entire team pulls everything, and the lefties just live on the outside corner.
