  1. Not quite on the same level but the Hamilton/Volquez trade was one of those that initially had both teams pretty nervous about. Ended up working out pretty well for both in the short term, more so the Rangers on the long term I'd say.
  2. Profar would go to second over Elvis, at least at this point in their careers Elvis is the much better SS, and Profar doesn't really proect to reach Elvis' ceiling on defense. Rangers are very deep at short right now, while I would absolutely hate to see Profar go losing him in the right deal would be palatable now. It would take a lot, but they could throw a package together for Stanton if the Marlins are inclined to move him (don't see it happening but I can rosterbate), maybe Shelby Miller....or they could do something with Kinsler who has a pretty team friendly deal.
  3. Agreed, good deal and one less thing to worry about.
  4. Not a pretty game, offense, defense, pitching all horrible. The offense is really imbalanced and Washington doesn't care to fix that it seems. We will be ok though. Yu pitches Tuesday.
  5. I can tell you whatever you need to know. I like the club level personally but its really all a matter of opinion. Steer clear of the Upper HR Porch unless you are in the front two rows or RF will be obstructed. Honestly there is some good SRO spots where you can actually sit down in the OFif you can get a good spot early. RF side will be out of the sun first, and contrary to what most have said the wind blows pretty decent and its not that bad to watch games. I've been to STL and KC when it was in the 80s and it was way worse than 105 in TX. Now they have made a few changes that will affect airflow so it remains to be seen what will happen with that.
  6. Even when he was pitching well he got hit hard. He can get it up there at 100 but for some reason he is very very hittable.
  7. Lowe throws hard and flat and balls fly out of the ballpark at alarming rates when he is around.
  8. Before banning me, let me start by saying I come in peace. I am not a troll. My name is Nick and I am a diehard Rangers fan. (Even got married in the ballpark, engaged at opening day, etc.) Now to the meat and potatoes of it. I have always been a fan of hearing different opinions on various topics. I used to read newspapers from other cities to to get an outsiders opinion on my team, then I found the world of message boards. Much easier to get a good feel for how another teams fans feel about trades, rivalry, and even in game moves on the fly. I have lurked at this board for a couple seasons and it seems to be one of the more active and all around better boards when it comes to the Angels. If you all have any interest in a biased Ranger fans opinion, who isn't here to start any trouble I am willing to stick around and throw in my two cents when I feel appropriate. If not I understand and I can fade back into the background. All I ask is some semblance of a mutual respect, and a refrain from personal attacks on myself. I am more than willing to answer any questions you guys want to throw my way.
