I cant believe how cheap tix are on Stub Hub for the A's-Astros series. I got seats between homeplate and the close edge of the dugouts for 30 and 49 dollars each. In one case 17 rows back from the field and the other, 25 rows.

I hope they NEVER build a new stadium. These prices are incredible!! Virtually walk up, for an important series.

Now, to find an official Angels bulletproof vest.................can I pack heat into the stadium?

Any tips on food and beverage from the Bay Area Angel fans. I eat anything, including sushi, hot dogs, hot mexican food. Do they have those grasshoppers here?

It would have been better if they left the stadium alone entirely! Sure you can walk up..but getting out is a bit harder. The way it's constructed is just awful.

You should be fine at an A's game..now a Raider game..I can't promise anything!

Beane hasn't been the General Manager since 2015 so for all of you praising him for this team, it has been the work of David Frost.

Now just for one minute go back to 2014, the last time the A's were playing over .500 and what happened? The A's had a pretty strong lead in the AL West powered by their very effective starting pitching then Beane pulled the dumbest move of his career and traded Cespedes for Lester and Johnny Gomes. The A's went into a tailspin and finished 10 games out.

Beane was moved upstairs, out of the daily operations of the team and Frost took over. This season the A's made no deadline trades.

Don't forget waiver deals...that's how the Astros got Verlander (and the Angels got Upton..for example).

I’m sure many have an opinion, but after watching Diaz close a game out last night, and Trienen have a 10 pitch shut out inning tonight... isn’t it kind of obvious? Sure we have holes, but don’t you think we would be 10 games over .500 if we had a lights out closer?

We have 22 saves on the season vs 42 (Sea) and 32 (Oak). We’ve blown 18 saves this season. A good bullpen/closer gets 13 of those 18.

This team isn’t as bad as some people think. They’re 2-3 good RP’s away from contending.

The rotation the A's have is a joke. Manaea and that's about it.

They have HORRIFIC base running...23 steals..18 caught. The Marlins are 2nd to last with 30.

BUT, most of their bullpen is underrated.

Chapman is having a nice season.

Davis...almost no one notices him..he's going to have another 40 homer year.

and they crush the ball on the road (.800) ops.

I do think both the M's/A's should have around 4-6 less wins, though.

SOA had it's moments. I don't ever remember just one solid season where every episode was must watch tv.....maybe season 2 was close with that chick FBI agent. But when it would start to get stagnant they would drop a bomb and bring you back in. It also had some of the most brutal death and intense (rape, etc.) scenes ever put on TV.

    Hopefully Mayans will check out.

Season 2 was great. A lot of people didn't like season 3..I had no problem with it.

Treinen still has 2 years and 2 months to FA, his 2nd arb year shouldn't be that expensive.   Can't see them trading him now, although it wouldn't surprise me if they did it a year from now, if they are faltering.

That is a dominant late innings pen potentially:  Trivino, Familia, Treinen.

Trivino is bound to fall off a bit, AO. He's a lot better than I thought he was, though.

Treinen...I don't know how anyone hit this guy before. His sinker goes 96-98 and it drops about two feet. The crazy thing is..the Nationals still won the deal..because I think Sean Doolittle is the most underrated pitcher the past decade.

Just look at these numbers! http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/_/id/30283/sean-doolittle. Of course, he is injury prone which kind of wipes out my whole argument.
