Bedrosian got royally screwed on the strike calls. He had the last batter struck out.
-
Angels close the gap even more with a double by Trout. 4-3, 1 out, and Trout on 2B.
I'm off to go feed my kids dinner.

Here's a link to the MLB Scouting video on Newcomb:

Angels close the gap to 4-2 Top 5.

Dang. There goes Beede
-
1-13 Padres take SS Trea Turner
Good. I didn't want him and I'm glad he's off the board. Beede and Zimmer are both possibilities now.
-
It's 3-1 Astros. Lots of mental mistakes coming back and biting us here on fielding.
-
Safety squeeze and it's now 2-1 1 out.
-
1-1 B4 2 on (1st and 3rd) 1 out.
-
Wow! The Brew crew went with Medeiros. I thought he might slip to the 2nd round. Angels pick is 3 away.
-
Score is 1-1 B4.
-
This. Wouldn't mind Newcomb as well.
I'm good with Newcomb.
-
With Pentecost to the Jays, I hope we get Beede.
-
Checking gameday is enough for me. As long as Scioscia continues to play Ibanez every day, I won't waste 3 hours watching games.
Want score updates?
-
Not a fan of Turner's bat. I think he goes to Toronto
I hope so. We have Rondon and I don't want another "toolsy" MIFer taken early on.
-
Conforto. They were linked to Trea Turner, another SS. I don't want a SS.
-
From what I've read about Pentecost, he has limited power. I don't want a low-upside slappy catcher to be our first round pick.
He's got some power, and we really don't have a catcher in development. He's good defensively and his bat should play. Plus he has some speed.
-
Well, with the exception of Schwarber taken so high up. A bit of an over reach.
-
So far Heyman has been spot on with his picks.
-
The online draft tracker needs a timer on MLB.
-
How much would you give to be a fly on the wall in the Angels war room?
-
Looking more and more like our top pick will be a pitcher
It would be hard to pass on Pentecost, but, if one of the top ones are left (maybe Hoffman), we should go with that.
-
Wow! Schwarber at #4! Hoping a top pitcher drops to us.

Another good pick, IMHO. Focus on the pitching and get plenty of it in the pipeline.
