It's pretty clear Black and Maddon especially had a huge role in our success a decade ago.  

Correct.  There is no way Dipoto could predict all these guys would perform a great deal worse than their career numbers would indicate.  People aren't getting that even though these guys weren't aces, they at least kept their teams in games more often than not.  That's not happening at all right now.  

I will wait to judge him until he isn't saddles with a man who has become one of the worst managers in MLB.

Actually no, the big acquisition was Sean Burnett, Madson was more of an educated gamble.  Pitching is clearly this teams weak link, but if they performed just at career norms, we'd be in position to win a lot of ballgames.  Looking at this talented roster and blaming Dipoto because nearly everyone is shitting themselves is what is asinine.  

Hell I'd rather see Dane Cook than Dane De La Rosa.

Nobody is asking the coaching staff to turn #5 starters into all stars, another idiotic statement, we're asking them to keep us in ballgames.  3 runs in six innings, a 4.50 ERA, that's what we ask.  This club is clearly supposed to slug the ball as its main source of wins.  The bullpen with the addition of Burnett and eventually Madson is supposed to be better.  It's a roster that if everyone plays just to their normal capabilities wins a lot of games.  That is not happening.  There is something else going on here in regards to the atmosphere in the clubhouse or in the lack of focus and mental preparation for each game.  

I think the real change to be made should've been switching Pujols and Hamilton. Hamilton is making a lot of outs with guys on base,  and Pujols is getting walked in front of him seemingly every time he comes up with runners on.
 
Trumbo after Hamilton is also an issue... lots of the RISP issues have come from these two guys striking out to end innings. Trumbo is hitting OK overall but I think I'd rather see Kendrick, someone a little more likely to put the ball in play, hitting there.

Brendan Harris is an awful baseball player.  

I don't see much change in his arm slot this year.  However if you go back and watch him from 2006 till now the change is pretty striking, he use to turn away from the batter much more and throw from a much lower angle.  As he has begun to turn less an less and throw more and more over the top he's continued to lose velocity and lost the snap on his slider.  Now luckily he developed an amazing changeup to compensate but now that he's throwing a bp fastball out there the change in speeds will not be as great and his change won't be as good going forward.  
 
He'd best find that extra 3-4 mph on his fastball or we're in trouble.  

Howie should take a two strike approach with one strike, the guy is useless once strike two gets on him.
