I would just like to see some inspired baseball tonight...I'd feel much better about this team if they won a game convincingly and then swept the Astros this weekend.

South Jersey is pretty country, so no big surprise he likes country. He sounds like a country boy as well.
Interesting facts. Didn't know the headquarters nickname. Kind of disgusted by the subway thing, too...

Well, our pitching staff sure is being tested right off the bat. C'mon Richards!!!

I wouldn't wear the shirt or fly that flag, but the Confederacy was about more than just the slavery issue.
Try explaining that to someone who is stubborn and refuses to believe that. I had a teacher who swore it was the only thing that it stood for and said it was worse than the swastika...I respectfully disagreed with her and was told that I was ignorant.

Justin Upton - 4/4, hit his 6th HR... that man is on fireeeeeeeeeeeee

I am not too worried yet. He's always struggled on Texas. If this keeps up a couple more starts then I will be alarmed, until then we've got CJ to worry about.

Did it pop out? I missed the replays

2-4 against two good teams on the road...I'll take it tbh

Amarista got us Frieri, I have no issues with that trade. Our BP was a wreck and Frieri was and is a key piece for its budding turn around.
Trading away Segura hurt, but the Angels are in a win NOW period and Greinke was supposed to be a piece to help us do that last year. Sucks now though.

How is the HBO miniseries John Adams?

Justin Upton is going to have a monstrous year. Awesome to see that go down.

If a freak accident is gonna happen, its gonna happen. I'm sure the players don't mind them and if they do, they just won't sit there.

Trout's gonna hit two bombs in Texas this weekend!

"Roberto Hernandez's start today for the Rays ended a streak of 1,207 straight games without using a free agent starting pitcher, according to the team. The last one was Hideo Nomo in July 2005, which predates the current front office by a few months."
Holy crap that is incredible.

So.... what does that say about the Angels???
That they played a team who won 96 or 97 games last year very tough in extremely cold weather for baseball to be played in. I feel just fine coming out of this series 1-2 TBH. the Reds have one hell of a team all around and are considered a top 3 team in the NL by many. Coming out of opening series of the season on the road at 1-2 is okay with me. We lost one game on a walk off and the other game only lost by 1 as well.

Vent threads are more fun than gameday threads. We could be up 7-3 and the vent thread will be bigger than the GDT.

Oh right, 2012 never happened.
If he has another season like 2012, I'll be perfectly fine with it AS LONG AS he breaks out of the slump before April is over. From May on, he was pretty damn good. Its been two games this year in weather more suiting of hockey or football than an outdoor baseball game. He looked solid with the bat in spring and he's taking walks so far this year. Pujols will be fine.

Lol two games people....a whopping TWO games in very cold weather....

8/3 K:HR ration. Not bad not bad....
-
That's the Santana we all know and...well sometimes loved.... HR pitcher. I see he leads the league in HR's already

It is an AMAZING show, loved every episode of it. Kevin Spacey is such an underrated actor IMO and he plays Frances Underwood beautifully.

Iannetta going again? I'm not used to seeing Scioscia start a catcher three days in a row.
