I missed where it was considered against the rules for anyone including a mod to necro old posts....... Or where it was mandatory to offer an opinion anytime someone posts a trade suggestion.

There often arent rules that cover all forms of douchebaggery.

    Neither did you.....

True.  But only one of us necro'd this thread.

    Just now, Blarg said:

Nor you for 3-1/2 so your argument is not persuasive. Lou has at least been active before and after this thread started. He's even called himself out regularly for his own prediction fails.

He's also a mod.  And theoretically above these antics.  He knows that though.

  3. Yes but he has bettered Trout in HRs, RBI's , and run scored. Trout only has 7 RBI's and scored 9 times.

Trumbo has clearly been more productive at the plate. Your splits really don't tell the whole story.

Btw I'm just using Trout as a example only. Don't go sideways on me ... not saying he's a better player in any way, shape, or form.

The guy who basically replaced him, Ibanez, has 3 HRs and 12 RBIs.  He even has 1 more BB, in 20 less ABs.  These threads still have no point.

  4. Were not this bad, I completely agree.  The problem is, if we continue to play this bad, the hole will be too deep for us to crawl out of.  We cant keep starting 2-7ish each year and expect to play .600 ball the rest of the season.

  5. At several points last year I almost jumped on the "Fire Scioscia" bandwagon.  Im still not there quite yet, but heres what it all comes down to: This team cant go 8-15 again without someone getting fired.

I dont know that Scioscia deserves to be fired.  The team is hitting .276/.347/.430/.777 overall, even with Hamilton sucking and Trout doing very little so far.  Thats not bad.  But our team ERA is 5.23 and WHIP is 1.42.  Both of those numbers are pretty damn horrible.  But worst of all?  15 HRs given up in 72.1 innings.

    15 (fifteen)!

Were averaging almost 2 HRs given up per game.  If this team gets anywhere near 8-15, the guy who should be fired first is Butcher.  If things dont improve after that, then think about Scioscia, imo.
