    No.  I guess I miss the joke when it comes to King Soopers.  Is it a redneck chain?  I know it is the same as Kroger and City Markets across the nation.  They are a huge grocery chain here.  I think you may know them as Ralphs in Southern California.

     

    By the way a lot of people chew around here.  It is kind of disturbing.

    Simplisafe alarm systems

    Considering putting one of these in. It seems like with my current system, every time I find an alarm company ADT buys them out (it has happened three times). Wondering is a system not hooked to a physical phone line might be a good idea. Anybody have experience with this system?

    I was about to go with a different company because ADT kept raising my monthly rate.  I decided to call them up and they cut my bill in half and added more sensors at no cost.  

     

    We checked Comcast but they were outrageous.

    Putting your dog to sleep

    My girlfriend had to put down her family's dog last year. Obviously the dog was up there in years and was not doing to well. What she did is the absolute way I will put down my dog, Champ, when the time comes. She had the vet come to her house, and the entire family was there and got to be together and got to say goodbye to the dog. The vet, when they were ready, injected the dog in the house, while he was being petted and comforted by his family. Just typing that and thinking about my dog puts tears in my eyes.

    We did the same thing with our greyhound in 2008.  It was still very hard on me.  My wife sat next to him as he peacefully left us.

    Toughest decision to make but I agree with others, think about the dog rather than yourself.  We had to put down a dog and a cat between November 2013 and February 2014.  I was devastated about the dog but my daughter took it harder because she loved them both.  

     

    It took me over a year to say yes to my wife and daughter about adopting another dog which we did this past weekend.

     

    My thoughts are with you.  Our pets are a part of the family.
