  1. Two very different players of different positions but they are both doing great things for each of their own roles... who do you think is the better player? not now, i mean taking age into account (trout doing things that 22 year olds have never done, and Kershaw's early accomplishments and only getting better). I think we can all agree that if we compare them to players of the past, theyre both doing things that would rank them among the top players to ever play if they stay on track and healthy for the rest of their careers. So, who do you think ends up with a better career?
  2. Calhoun is hitting .402 in the last month, that is number 1 in the majors. Just throwing it out there.
  3. Before I get bashed on, no this isnt a serious thread. Lol, it will never happen, nor should it. Just a curious thought of what would happen.
  4. I probably shouldn't have said "ridiculous", and I never said that Cowgill shouldn't get at bats. Of course he should, especially with the season he is having. Nevertheless, calhoun is the better player, an everyday type and much more upside. You guys said it yourself, the difference wether cowgill or calhoun hit vs a lefty is very minimal. Yes in terms of production its very minimal, but when you want a player to progress it makes a difference being platooned vs virtually every lefty rather than being occasionally benched to rest up.
  5. I dont understand Kole sitting 3 days in a row with 3 multi hit games in his last 4 including a 3 hit game. Along with 2 homeruns, maybe 3 had Eaton not robbed him. I as free that Cowgill has been doing great this year but look at his career numbers, he is a prototypical 4th outfielder, opposed to someone who could be a decent piece to the Angels future in calhoun. That being saidddd, I take no credit away from Cowgill, great improvement and definately deserves playing time, but 3 in a row? Vs mediocre lefties? While calhoun is hot?
