I have been a fan since around 82. I remember my teacher bringing a TV to the class to watch the collapse against the Brewers. I believe it was only a 3 game series back then for the ALCS.

This is often repeated but not really accurate.  Trout was #1 on the board that year, and had they not received the pick for Teixeira they would have still drafted Trout and not Grichuk.

I guess I could see that.  Hope they would be that smart.  Have they actually ever admitted the fact that they would have drafted Trout if they didn't have the 2nd pick?

Anybody missing Tex?  LOL.  Sure glad that his wife wanted to go back to the East coast.  We sure got the better end of that deal.  It was apparent that the Yankees would have used the draft pick that they forfeited to us to sign Tex on Trout.  Instead we got to draft Trout.  That was good happenings for the Angels, unlike some of their recent moves over the last 4 years.  

Great Call on CJ!  Glad that you were right.  We needed it.  

Yep.  And this is going to turn out to be the worst contract in Angels history.   Vernon might be relieved to hear that.

We still have 8 years left including this year.  I don't think there is a remote chance that he plays all 10 years of that ridiculously overpaid contract.   I still have hope that he can get it going, but it is painfully obvious that he will never be the same player that he was in St. Louis, and definitely not for 10 years.  Unfortunately for us, we are paying him for his PAST accomplishments and not his current abilities.  And this is not personal.  Albert seems like a great family man.  Great win today.  Wish I could have seen it, but I was working.  

So let me get this straight.  Mike Trout is responsible for both of the runs that we have scored and is responsible for the run that Houston couldn't score.  3-0 Mike Trout.  Wonder what that does for WAR?  LOL  The guy is amazing.
