It is getting harder and harder to watch this team. Between Upton's throw home and whatever it was that Stassi tried to do..........Ugh.

I will happily take him over Joyce, Niewenhuis, Robertson, Victorino and DeJesus.

Nothing against bringing back Bud Black and Ron Roenicke as long as Quinlan and Mathis do not come back too.
-
I do not at all understand why Scioscia has to "over manager" What in the heck pinch hitting Joyce for anybody.

Crap, Wife just reminded me we will be in Havasu that weekend so forget the Jlar64 + 5. This sucks.

Those balls were not flying they were bombs. I know, I heard them going by me at crazy speeds.
-
Something tells me that the ball will be coming out of my hand real good tomorrow. Also, I have been swinging a real good bat lately. Maybe I have been reading too much lately, starting to sound like you know who.

Not so fast Chuck. I think we have got this locked.

Did the draft occur? How many teams?

Don't miss Rex at all. To me he was kind of like having relatives over and way overextending their welcome. After a while no matter how nice they are, the got to go.

Great news and so humbling to see those kids having fun while we got to play next to them. Cannot wait for next year.

Thank you everyone for the kind words to my day Bob Fisher yesterday during and after the games as well as on this site. He asked me this morning to post something about Senior Softball in which he has been active in for several years. There are 1,000's of guys (and women) playing Senior ball throughout the Unitied States from age 40+ to 80 and over and my dad is currently attached to a 75 and over team.
The level of softball in which theses "seniors" play is amazing. It is truely a remarkable sight to see guys at 70, 75 and 80 not only still playing, but playing good ball and staying competetive. You can learn more about Senior Softball at http://seniorsoftball.com/. If you are ever looking for something to do, find a local tournament and take an hour or so to watch these guys and ladies play some great softball.

Well everyone is close but Bob Fisher is my dad not grandfather and yes he had two kids and two grandson's on our team plus an 11 year old granddaughter watching. It certainly was a fun day for our family.

When is the draft?
-
Personally I think a manager or coaches biggest role is motivation. Try playing a 162 game schedule with all the travel and tell me it is not a grind. We can all sit here and say they have millions of reasons to be motivated but in reality if the teams managment is mello and non emotional, then the players will be too. You need a mix of emotion and level headedness like oh heck how about the Rangers? Say what you want about Ron Washington but that man is passionate about winning and shows some stinking emotion in the dugout. This team has no spark, it does not have an Erstad or Eckstein. Someone somewhere has to motivate and it is not going to come from a young kid or a coaching staff like Scioscia's. Time for change.

Looks like somehow I lost on from the May 24th posting at 8:24PM and 8:28PM. Correct should be JLAR +5 (one girl)
Angels fire Brad Ausmus

If this is an effort to bring in a well respected manager who players want to play for then it is hopefully the start of something good. We may never know the absolute reason behind it but I have a feeling management felt Ausmus was not the guy star players want to play for and to me things start at the top and work down. I cannot criticize Eppler at this point as he has improved our farm system and that was a priority when he came in. Now time to work on the MLB roster.
