Marisnick is nothing more than AAAA fodder. Hicks will be our backup OF opening day. I can see Adell getting traded for some minor leaguers that won’t require being on the 40 man if we make 1-2 more additions before the season starts

Or it’s because Rendon is already hurt, Rengifo is hurt, Stefanic is hurt. Somebody has to play these games and we don’t have much IF depth at the moment which is why we were in talks with the likes of Anderson, Urshela, Kike. Maybe they didn’t pull the trigger on a FA IF yet because they were hoping Sano would put up a decent enough spring to justify saving a few mill.

Makes sense to do it with a guy like Wantz sure but Soriano has already had multiple surgeries correct? Why waste those bullets. While Soriano was sporadic at times last year he was a nice guy to have for the late innings because of his stuff. It’s not like we have some deep bullpen of shut down guys so why fk with one of the few guys who have shown the ability to pitch well late in games

I think one of the two pitchers sign this weekend. Boras seems to like these weekend deals so they don’t get too much press and attention for being the poor contracts that they are (Chapman signed on a Friday, Belly on a Saturday). And if they don’t sign… then well get f**ked

I still want either of them but they won’t be ready by opening day no matter how much Boras will try to convince you otherwise. And if they do pitch on opening they will be rushing themselves and risk injury. It’s not the end of the world if they miss 1-2 starts to begin the year just rather annoying and pathetic on Boras part
